I went to one of those meetups at rack n roll about a year ago. It was ok but not really my cup of tea. $20 buy in and about 15 played and it was very very beginnerish. Ive thought about going back there to play again especially to try to recruit some players but they play infrequently like once every 2 months and its always on sunday and im usually doing something by the time i find out about it.

I also found a game in Derby (near shelton) on Tuesday nights in a bar/restaurant. I havent actually played in it yet but Ive been talking to the guy who runs it and it seems legit. Its a bit of a hike hike from stamford but i work in startford so its not that much further from there. Its a $40 buy in w/ $20 rebuys for 1hr and 1 add on. Supposedly they usually get about 20-30 people so its a decent size game. I dont know if i can make this week but Im def going to try to go next tues
Porkys in shelton right? You know what time they start?

Couldn't go yesterday...but a buddy just invited me to a game in Stamford. He said they were playing 2/5 last night (he deals) from about 10-3. No idea about the rake structure, still trying to find out details. But he said the games run on Monday and Thursday. Hit me up if your in the area.

Hey Guys,

I live in Woodbridge and I'm hosting a cash game next Thursday (7/21) starting at 8pm. $0.25-0.50 NL Texas Holdem. You can buy-in for anywhere from $20-50 (or up to the largest stack at the table). Let me know if you're interested in joining us via PM.

Matt

I'm one of the local hosts. Tell us a little about yourself, since you're new to the site.

Last year, we started a league that sent players to the Mohegan Sun Summer Showdown. All in all, the league was great; we had a really successful year. We made some alterations, and we are ready to start up our pre-season again.

Quick Highlight of Changes
• Best 12 of 15 Scores Count (last year was 10 of 15)
• 2 New Deepstack Events (2 fewer Rebuys)
• The league fee is a much smaller percentage of each event’s buy-in ($50+10 instead of $35+15)
• Scoring Method is much simpler
• Freeroll Chips are based on participation and performance
• Tweaked Profit-Shares formula
• More seats will go to regular season achievement (as opposed to the freeroll)
• There is an opt-out for non-league members

If you're interested or just want some more information, pm me.

I just saw them playing Texas Hold them on ESPN. I think i am like an "eagle" or whatever that really kewl guy called it. I think he was a pro because he kept calling people "horrible", hehe. Can I come from Virginia to play in your texas hold them club? That would be super neat. I learned how to bluff the other day so I think I am ready.

(To everybody that is not Matt...yes, this is a level. If you are looking for a great home game with great people and good quality play, you HAVE to check out his game. Solid play, great environment. Unfortunately, you have to deal with a Jets fan, but that is a minor inconvienience to take his money since we know Jets fans aren't that smart.)

Patrick, thanks for the testimonial. I appreciate it (except for the dumb Jets fan comment).

Let me know when you come back from Virginia for a weekend. I'll see if we can plan something for you. It'll be the PF Classic or something like that.

Looks like I'm checking out Matts game down in Woodbridge (near New Haven) this weekend, but after that still looking.

That's a bit of a drive for me from Bristol, plus moving to E. Windsor end of this month. Would love to find a game closer to Windsor area.

In the future I may start holding games myself if there's enough interest.
