There's the Chesterfield.

There's the morning game in Woodside.

There's the Greeks.

There's a union game in Jersey....I know a guy whose cousin can get us in.

There's a cigar shop in Brooklyn.

I know of a few games, PM me. But the ones I Know are raked high.

I am always looking for a game that's not going to rake me uncapped at 10%. maxed at $10 maybe? is it possible in NYC?

I have game on Wednesday nights in midtown. its a home game, no poker club, so everyone is friendly. Its more of drinking and socializing rather than poker. If you're interested, let me know; thanks!

definitely interest in this, what stakes do you play? where in midtown? Is this game raked in any fashion where the house is profiting? If it is then it is not a traditional home game per 2+2 rules

The games in NYC, like many other places, are raked so brutally high that it's a losing proposition to play in them, no matter how juicy they are. People who pretend to be winners in these games are just delusional.

The only good games are high end home games, similar to the one's in LA, where the pre-requisite is that you not be a pro player (i.e. Have a job)... And they are not easy to get invited to, but if you do, they are some of the nicest games you could ever imagine.

He's absolutely right...you're going to get raped by the rake at most of them..I've worked at a few these games n the house is making a killing. Stay away especially at the lower limits.

Yes it's a raked game.

I think the same term "delusional" can be applied to people who think they can find these unicorn games.

Private home games - always have to ask yourself "why are they running a game" check the temperature of your cards before you three bet those aces.

For me- I don't mind a house rake. And if you find a decent game ask the host for rake back. Most games offer it if you ask and play often enough.

Hard to beat that rake in the long run when there's thousands of dollars coming off the table. Unless there is a steady stream of really bad players with really deep pockets
