About a year from this date I will be working at Fort Hood, about an hour north of Austin. I'll have my own custom ASM chipset by then and will be looking to play in a home game or run my own micro-stakes mixed game, anywhere from 25c/50c to 1/2 limit games and probably 10c/20c or 25c/50c NL. Is there any interest in such a game in the Austin area? Are there any games around Austin? I know it's pretty far out but I just wanted to see if there was any preliminary interest for those that might live in Austin.

There are tons of games in Austin, at all different stakes. Obviously lots of hold em games, but there are round'n'round games, O8 games, PLO games, and mixed games too. If you get in a game or two you will soon learn about other games very quickly.

If you're looking to get a game going in Killeen, I'd say you're going to have a hard time planning that ahead of time. I've seen very few posts from people from Killeen on here so you may just have to meet people there and you're going to have a very tough time getting anyone from Austin to go to Killeen as most people don't venture that way unless they have to.

Killen games are real juicy and big. I dont think u find anyone wanting to play micro games there.

There is nothing but 2/5 games and a big 5/10 omaha. Couple of 1/3 games. Alot of action n games are easy to get into just nees to know the right people

Killeen has the worst games/ action. Hopefully you can get something good there. Except for the big 08 game mentioned. If you want to play omaha in Austin pm me.

Yeah, I'd love to run 6/12 or 8/16 and make a $2 chip for the custom set. In either case, I'm about an hour from Austin so not sure if that's a drive you would want to make.
