I live in Lubbock. There is a healthy poker scene here of 1-2 and 2-5. Just have to keep looking and keep trying. Unfortunately I can not help you find it, not worth the risk. Just keep looking...

JROCK , I appreciate the heads up. I found it hard to believe there wasn't a ring game in a city with a population of a quarter million. Where I use to live, Austin, there were dozens of games that I knew of and all of them offered some form of compensation for bringing new players (referral bonuses); is that not the same for Lubbock? I can appreciate a healthy dose of caution. If I could for the life of me figure out how to send Personal/Private Messages, I would give you my number so at a minimum we could talk. Perhaps you'd even let me buy you a beer. I hope to see a response back from you. I am easy money on most nights and always good for a game. I'm just looking for some recreational time out of the home.

Well found PokerDIY.com and it showed a few games in Lubbock and sent everyone of them a msg. but I get the feelings most if not all those games are long gone, I think most of those posts were before the "great recession" which I know put a huge hurt on the poker scene in the Austin area. I've been able to do Private messages now and have hit everyone up on here that acts/acted like they were in the know, nothing but crickets. I'd love it for someone to PM me and let me know about a game around town I know that's asking a lot but getting desperate here. Much appreciation in advance.

Well good news Noah, I found at least 1 game , and have my eyes out on a 2nd and 3rd. I haven't played in any of them yet. I have been invited though, and my first night will be Tuesday perhaps this Sunday if enough people make. I'd invite you but seeing as I haven't played I don't want to advertise a game that might not be KOSHER. The game that I'm 100% going to is not raked it's 50 cent 1 dollar and seems to be run by some Texas Tech folk so they might not have deep pockets but at this juncture I don't care if they only bring 40 bucks and play. As far as the other two games, I am still in the process of getting a physical invite but much more promising then a few weeks ago.
