I'll be coming back to SA in the fall. Once I get settled, I'm looking to get something going...probably lower stakes to get a feel of a new crew then move up as the comfort level (aka bank roll) goes up. And no, no rake!

I couldn't possibly do the free poker thing...I end up paying more for drinks than I do for buy ins.

i usually only play 2-5 but every single game has gotten like 6x more juicy than i remember it being a year ago. 1-3 is now profitable imo, 2-5 is a total spew fest, now there are people who run weekly $200, $300, $500 tournaments that get about 3-4 tables of just pure dead money.

500r on saturday and final table pays the same...rumor says the prize will be between 90-125k

Bar poker has gone down hill in SA, if it could ever be considered mildly playable. There was a good game at the Lion & Rose, but that has died out. LuvMyPoker only plays in one or two locations within the 410 loop, so that isn't much of an option either. Firehouse is a joke too, IMHO. There is a game at TGIFs at DeZavala & I-10, which seems to be ok I guess.

I have played at Clicks, but it seems to be a waste of time. Why show up there every night to collect extra chips for the tournament at the end of the month? You can just show up at the end of the month if there are extra seats and try to stack people that have wasted their time picking up extra chips. Plus, you can play in similar freerolls online.

Im not 100% but I think its a 100r,200-300 freezout, then a 500r. Ive just recently started going. The 500r was pretty huge. Richard Lee was there along with other big San Antonio names outside of poker

I'm interested too. I've got a couple friends who I'm sure would be willing to play as well.

I'd love to make the Dominion games, I live on the other side of I-10. Not sure if the hounds would rip me apart after I scaled the fence.

Please make this a Round N Round game instead of HA.

Round N' Round = NLHE and PLO...it switches with every orbit

I know of a 5-10 game in SA...not sure how it is raked cause I've never played

I saw a dealer take $6-7 out of a $30 pot at a .50/$1 game last night

How do we get into these Dominion games? Should I camp outside the entrance and look for jeffbeesdat or Richard Lee to pass by and hook myself up under their car?

Limit holdem is basically dead here in SA. Although from what I have heard there is a 10-20 limit game that runs somewhere near or in a mexican restaurant here in town.
