if you rock climb you're gonna be ripped like a bodybuilder who only did purposeful movements which is cool and which is what i recall you look like :P
roddy buckets or
russell westbrook is what i'd like to look like, although the white version 2 inches shorter. i'm at 153 now after gaining 5 lbs this past week (woop) idk if i could get to 185-187 where they're at... that'd take a lot
i'm very good about always using the prehab workout from core performance (check out their
site) and most importantly the
worlds greatest stretch (this guy does it so much better than me holy ****, i've been doing this for like 4 years or something). it's also called forward arm to instep, and it stretches your hips when you're really low and is really amazing. i then do hand walks and a bunch of other core performance **** including a ****ton of calf stretches then either do some core performance weight lifting or just play basketball or skateboard at one of my 3 local free parks or in the park by my house which is the dopest spot around... afterwards i try to do as much of this "active isolated stretching" or AIS as possible, and then every night i do "foam roller" exercises but with a pcv pipe, which i got cut myself at a hardware shop for like $3 and which i'd highly recommend.
basketball and skateboarding are huge factors in my getting healthy. it's hard for me to hit the gym every day so i need skateboarding and running my dog. everything needs a purpose. i made a resolution this year to take no days off from intense physical activity and i'm finding i think 1 day to regenerate my knees is necessary or i just need to ice and elevate them more.
as far as nutrition goes i go to the local h-mart which is so badass and get some mackeral with the shiniest scales possible because that means they're strong and definitely river fish, afaik, for $3/lb, and then some random greens for less than $2 and eat that every day sometimes substituting calamari steak or salmon. i just stuff my face with raw greens as often as possible during the day. i was gorging on sweets every night bc i am a substance abuser, but i'm getting over that, and red wine is a nice substitute for something sweet. sugar is just an addiction imo... all my sugars come from chlorophyll filled things (and tons of beer).
as far as sleep related issues i'd say waking up in the morning and getting loads of sunlight in your eyes instead of remaining indoors for a few hours is of supreme importance in developing a sleep-wake cycle. alcohol is bad for getting to sleep. melatonin works really well.
sitting for prolonged periods of time causes something wrt your bodies ability to process glucose or something correctly and it's not good for your heart and probably many other things, so take breaks, and when i take a break i really like to hit the floor or roll around on a physioball or pvc pipe rather than just walk around the house. keeping good posture is so important and improves my health in some way i can't put my finger on... i'm a huge posture nit and when i see other people with bad posture it just makes me sick feeling.
if you develop RSI you need to just youtube how to stretch out your forearms then go buy some carpal tunnel wrist brace and use that for a while and you'll be fine.
