WELCOME gentlemen to the second season of WCS Korea, wherein we watch the once-prestigious tournament known as the GSL descend further into the abyss of Blizzard's management.

In their infinite wisdom, Blizzard has awarded the production of what would have been the third season of the GSL this year to OnGameNet, so they can give us ****ty casting, dramatic zoom-ins, and a round of 32 featuring a mother****ing BEST OF ONE format. Kill yourselves.

took me a few minutes before i noticed the bottom left spawns 3rd on gwanghalli. is the water just for show or must you use that road?

That beach map looks really cool aesthetically. I really hope that road is just decoration and not actual high ground or something. Otherwise it's just a hugely gimmicky map, and we should be keeping that **** where it belongs: in Proleague. Other map looks interesting, too, but again, it's hard to tell exactly what the geography is like.

Oh yeah, obligatory LOLKESPA at Bo1 in the first group stage. They are also doing GSL-style groups in the Ro32 and pure round robin in the Ro16. No idea why other than LOLKESPA, but w/e.

The natural. Having it so close to the choke seems like it will be hard to defend.

holy **** at round robin bo3's with no map score tiebreaker. Thats so cruel.

Its not kespa. Its the tv network OGN. Bo1's early in the tournament are more dramatic and easier to time for in a tv setting. They've always treated the dual tournament as basically a qualifier for the main tournament which starts in the ro16. The format is the exact same one they've run for 10+ years except for the round robin being bo3 instead of bo1 and traditionally the top 4 from the previous tournament get byes to the ro16

Is it me or is Anaconda extremely small? Sea map just looks weird, like everyone will just do some funky stuff there instead of trying to learn it. I don't mind gimmicky stuff tbh, but it should be within reason of fair and balanced, I hope it is.

Bo1 format is just lol, esp if you consider how few tournaments korean players can play in right now.

Does anaconda have 2 backdoor expansions?

Kinda looks that way, although the 2nd one isn't that protected once the rocks get broken down. I couldn't find Anaconda on the KR server, it's probably posted with a Korean name or something.

What are the odds that the GSL-Stream will have more viewers than the oslstream?

I really can't wait for the hellbat change to go live, every TvX matchup features hellbat drops to such an absurd degree now. "Will soandso respond to hellbat drops perfectly" is the new "will Protoss get the perfect vortex on the brood lords".
