I was curious about the gas bank too - I guess that's a result of DRG's heavy lair-tech style where he's making tons and tons of lings and not really utilizing the gas for things like ultras? Usually that happens in lategame scenarios when your mineral mining is denied by your opponent but he was still on like 70+ drones at that point.
I didn't see anything in particular other than it being just about a perfectly played game by DRG. He constantly had larvae to spend his money, he rarely got supply blocked, he had great overlord spread, he had great creep spread, and he still had the APM to babysit his units against banelings. The former two allowed him to constantly suicide large-ish groups of zerglings into the widow mine lines to trigger them, follow them up with banelings to kill the widow mines, then send in the mutas/lings/banelings to clean up the rest of the army. The latter two allowed him to be safe against drops and focus on army control.

He got 3/3 too, though seemingly at random times. Did he get adrenal glands in any of the 3 games?
Will probably drop GSTL next year. Would normally try to share GSL with people here because multiple people can watch it at once, but I actually want to support Starcraft here...
okay, i give up. tasteless is officially awful. he's not even really funny these days.
the thing i don't get is that he always talks as if 75% of his viewers are new to starcraft and a smaller (but still significant) group are watching for the first time this season. this just can't be true; and even if it is, the % of new viewers goes down every season. this ironically has also has been almost the opposite of how much tasteless seems to talk about the intricacies of starcraft. he has to realize this- is it just him being lazy/no longer motivated?
in two years, if they're still around, is the most complicated thing he talks about still going to be how the third/fourth bases are difficult to take, therefore zerg is going to have a hard time (this isn't even correct in ZvP, fwiw- maps with far away expansions are far harder for protoss in this matchup than they are for zerg)? he can't predict who's winning, he can barely do play by play, and his game knowledge is honestly at a platinum level (e.g., he said "oh zerg isn't going to attack right now" right as zerg is making 8 corruptors on 3 bases and is clearly about to semi all-in the protoss)
i was a huge tasteless defender for a while, but it literally appears as if he shows up in the studio ten minutes before the cast having done absolutely no prep (and certainly zero laddering). artosis tells him about 2-3 things that have gone on in the world of starcraft since they last casted, he glances at the players and maps and comes up with a talking point, and then wings it based on his brood war/general RTS knowledge.
Same, I was like "omg Tastosis are the best!!" for so long, and idk if they're getting worse or I'm getting more knowledgeable or what but I enjoy listening to Wolf + Khaldor a lot more than them now.
i feel like tasteless has actually been pretty good today without artosis. he seems to be carrying a lot of the cast and hasnt been as out in left field as normal with artosis.
that was the most withered 2rax ever. tasteless nail on the head "this is like a gold league build that doesnt actually work when you play someone good". 11/11 would have a good shot there, 12/14 is always meh, but pretty sure that was 12/15, laaaaaate bunkers, no where near enough to even deal with drones. if he 11/11 and walls the same, he prob has 2+ extra marines to kill lings the whole time and can at least start killing drones if a bunker cant get up. that first push was like 3 marines short of killing all the mutas and having a hope =(
I've only noticed this in the last week or so, and I have to imagine this is a new thing or else I would have noticed before: why is Tasteless saying "rather" like it rhymes with "father" and not "gather"?
