holy **** the game soulkey won where parting played perfectly all the way through, 3 base vs 3 base ???

I wasnt 100% focused on the vod but geez that was sick.

also, parting needed to remake a mommacore at his 3rd asap. One nexus fortress and he wouldve defended?

zergs' hive timings seem almost random. symbol forgot 2/2 upgrades for about a minute in at least one, maybe two games. he wasn't at his best at all.

disappointed that keen advanced, though. never really liked him. always seemed gimmicky to me.

Some GSL TRAX

(2:46-3:10)

I think the 2nd one as it appears in GSL is a custom mix with another song, which sounds way better than the original, would make a sick dubstep

# of banelings required to kill a siege tank: 9

It blows my mind every time I see a pro who's apparently worse at controlling banes in engagements than I am

pretty sure he would win that fight if he didnt feel the need to blow up 3-4 of those depots too. found it kinda funny that 2 tanks that have been there the entire time (not to mention the double producing tanks) sitting seiged gets that kinda reaction from tasteless

Wow, Dream, what the hell. I had hope after the first series against Bbyong because he took the worse end of the build orders in both games and that happens sometimes, but you can't be a ZERG? Get out. You disgust me.

was so happy after the zerg blew up his banes into scvs and then went on to be miserably behind (while casters were raving on about how MANY SCVS HE KILLED !!!!1)

My theorem still holding true.

Sleep won a game against Dream where he blew up a planetary with banes, u mad?

the theorem describes rolling banes into scv lines, not blowing PFs in the late game. (which is also bad unless you have mega bank while maxed)

despite your best efforts goofy; z still op

Here's the thing, gamboneee: by endorsing kirby's theorem and saying "Z OP" in the same post, you're contradicting yourself.

Kirby's theorem, if proven correct, would actually be a statement that Zerg is an even bigger joke than we already think; if it's apparently cost-inefficient to take splash damage-dealing units that are built to blow up workers and marines and use them to decimate an entire worker line, then how exactly is Zerg supposed to harass cost-effectively? Most incursions by mutalisks into mineral lines will, unless there's literally 0 defense, also be pretty cost-ineffective by kirby's definition (1 muta costs same as 4 banes, you'll usually lose a muta or two in exchange for some workers if they have turrets and/or marines+mines nearby).

Terran can apparently build hellions and suicide them (**** it, it's just minerals) into mineral lines using their splash to kill 20+ workers and that's good; but Zerg can't lose anything (not exactly possible with banelings) to kill Terran workers without falling significantly behind?? lol, how is that supposed to be fair?

No, sir, it does not work that way. You are in fact admitting that Z is underpowered.

Either that or Kirby's theorem is wrong, which seems more likely - I mean he's trying to use as evidence a game where Zerg was kind of all-in on a huge bane bust and didn't even come close to killing the other guy? When you're a Zerg and you're even in workers with your Terran opponent after killing 19 SCVs, you were probably in some trouble already?

Nah, its because races work differently.

Scvs are worth less than the other races workers, while the banes are more supply efficient than any other unit against bio.

Killing scvs for 8+ banes (in the midgame, when you need to defend and drone up ) is ******ed, no matter the balance.

It was the same in WoL, when zerg was overpowered, debunking your terrible logic.
WCS Korea Season 3: LOL ZERG edition Quote

no, i just said it to needle you

i think the point is that its not optimal use of the banes because of
1) how little it usually ends up doing (not usually getting a whole mineral line with 4 banes)
2) that terran can easily mule the lost mins back and only sacrifices a scan or 2, which they usually have a fair number saved up by mid-late game
3) you are making your defense/attack weaker while not directly affecting terrans

hellion runbys are a lot different imo. esp early game, zergs are greedy as fk. having 90+ drones pre-10 min is absurd. if all you make are queens/spine, if you are oop, you deserve to take losses. 4 roaches + warren is ~7-8 hellions worth(tiny amount of gas obv)? and would keep you safe from them almost always. its their choice not to invest in it, because its not something you see more than 10% of the time maybe
