NA/EU qualifiers for challenger league results:

EU: Stardust, San, Genius, Bling, Showtime, Starbuck, Alastor, Targa
NA: Arthur, Hack, Sound, Hyun, Center, Byul, Select, Heart

Yes, 100% of NA qualifier spots went to Koreans. LOL AMERICANS.

NA is weak. :/ I mostly blame eg. they have the resources and management to fund and create a real team with a real practice environment. Instead they waste resources on jobbers who are only relevant for being visible in the community and buy foreign talent thats usually past the sell by date :/

Why do they even have an NA division if the actual competition isn't region-specific

And why do we suck so hard

I mean, how many Americans are even full-time players? Huk and Machine?

Edit: Forgot about Suppy.

I have literally zero idea. Probably Huk and Machine, two players I have never heard of.

He's a brit. I feel like including him is like including Polt. I guess Scarlett, but she's Canadian. I'm looking for Americans.

Yea what's the deal with Polt. I'll watch casts of him and people will be chatting "USA USA" but then you google the dude and he's Korean. So...wtf. And isn't DeMusliM from the UK?

#1 best American = Schu. Need to capitalize the last letter though to be a pro, so I gotta use my name change to make it schU

Polt is Korean but is attending U of Texas, so he's become an adopted American since all our players blow. afaik Snute, Stephano, and Naniwa are also American (although when conflicts arise, such as when two of the players in this list are playing each other, Naniwa is no longer American).

thought you were just asking about people living in america as pros. polt only living in america for school so wouldnt say thats the same (if suppy full time student doesnt count)

do the smaller teams pay/comp enough to not have to have a job as well?

Well when Schu said "why do we suck so hard" I just assumed he meant Americans. In reality I think its clear that Korea > Sweden > rest of World when it comes to SC2 talent but America is so far behind.

As an in-depth answer I think the "house" idea is an ineffective one but its the cheapest way to do it and its drastically better than nothing. It seems to me that there is little to no support in this country for that career path. I believe the teams as a whole are run incredibly poorly and the only one that has the correct business path, EG, seems to be much more interested in the bottom line rather than increasing the talent level on the squad. And there is utterly nothing wrong with this. And really I applaud it.

Now its just an outsiders opinion. I think Quantic has a tremendous idea with the training academy but its only one step. Until there are a few teams in this country that are competitive and can sustain life on sponsorship it'll likely stay that way. The two countries in which progaming is more acceptable have churned out better players(Korea and Sweden, ldo).

idk if anyone itt played/followed cs 1.6 back in the day but that post is basically reiterating 1.6 as of 5-8 years ago

also funny that eg started out as a bunch of canadian kids well before it grew to an esports company then into a money making company.

What is the Quantic academy, exactly? Looks like a couple dudes who finished top 24 at MLG (one of whom is a cannon rushing piece of ****, DIE BUBBLES) and Kaitlyn, who afaik plays from home and is prob just a PR stunt for being a girl.
