I am so screwed. I went 4-1 in my placement matches and now they put me in diamond league. I just lost 6 in a row, just got slaughtered, not even close. Is there a way I can move down a league or do I have to just keep getting humiliated like this? I'm not even learning anything, I just get void ray cheesed or zergling rushed on maps I don't know or something stupid like that.

great, so this is what I have to look forward to? I did the same, was placed in plat. and then went back to the campaign...

Just did the scenario thingies and got gold for the first Terran counter one and only bronze in the Protoss one. How the hell do you micro stalkers lol

Watch their portraits, and click and blink ones away that are getting hurt. I've gotten gold with only 6 losses in that one.

Guys I never got into SC1/BW other than playing campaign and AI games, but werent Terrans the ones that usually got owned? Or am I totally off base here?

I just didnt know. I had some vague recollection of reading about Terran being weak in SC/BW multiplayer. HEnce the question.

in BW terran was hardest to play at high lvl imo.

I chose terran here cuz i suck the most with them, but thats mostly because my macro sux with them while i had above avg macro with zerg and protoss as random

extremely low level match, one sided victory. not going to post every match (i guess?) but am looking for all advice i can get. some leaks i have:

1) sending an army in while maintaining unit production behind
2) not knowing a thing about hot keys and controlling groups
3) etc.

big thanks to anyone who watches.

edit: first match where i dont over extend my buildings (early starport)

also, am i better off posting this (these) in the official critique thread? or they too nooby

2) not knowing a thing about hot keys and controlling groups

The best control groups to make are, imo:

your army, obv.

command centers for scanning cloaked units.

group all your barracks in one control group and hit 'a' for marine and 'd' for maurader while attacking. Can do this for factories and starports too, obv.

This is a big deal. When I first started, I would go off to battle and when it was over I'd have 2000 minerals and no army. Gotta be training units at all times.

a very useful thing to remember is to never let your minerals go above 500, should be a reminder to quickly make something, anything at least be it scvs, units, command centers, or supply depots

You forget to mention that you left the marines at home, just bringing tanks to fight.

Gotta take them with and you win that first battle so easily. In general, not the best placement with tanks either. You want to keep them tucked away on a cliff, not sieged at the bottom of your ramp with your marines chilling on top of the ramp.

Need more marauders and less marines. Not only do marauders to way more damage to stalker/colossi, they can survive a hit or two as well.
