(all cb on wg research)

This is my 4 gate. Some people 15 pylon, not sure off the top of my head if it matters that much. Also I try to gate scout whenever possible.

I'm diamond Zerg and don't get 4gated often but usually win when I do. Especially if I scout it. I play pretty snug when they don't FFE tho

Practicing last night I was only getting up my core at 17. Is that bad/late? That was just when my gate happened to finish (and I was getting that up as soon as I had 150 minerals...)

Yea it's bad. The most important timing for the whole build is the core timing. If you do that build I listed properly you will always have just enough to exactly build everything in order up to your first warp in.

A 16 core will always beat a 17 core.

I'll try to practice more tonight vs the AI and maybe post a replay

I mean it won't make a difference at first but there is no reason not to do it in the right order as you will only get better the more you practice it.

Favorite moment from my Zerg experiment last night: I built a ****ton of roaches, saw opponent coming at me bro with an army of hydras. I retreated to my natural, and this is on Ohana so while I'm on the high ground my creep tumors see him go around the ramp to my nat and towards those rocks that go to your 3rd - so, as he starts to try to knock down the rocks to catch me off guard (lol silly rabbit), I take my roaches behind the rocks and burrow. He finishes off the rocks, comes up and starts shooting at my gas prob like "wtf where's his army", and then BAM ROACH DEATHBALL EMERGES FROM THE GROUND AND DESTROYS HIM

Fun mechanic.

It's goofy's fault, driving you to play someone so much better than you at ZvZ, then annoying you while you're playing.

i actually sort of raged that at him in the SL skype after game 1. i was on stone ****ing cold tilt.

She doesn't even play Protoss though...

So, wrt 4gate timings - I pulled one off against the AI (playing on normal speed lol, until I internalize it better) where my 4 warp gates were ready at 5:50. My proxy pylon wasn't, but lol me. Anyway, I got a 16 core but it delayed my 17th probe slightly cause I juuuuust didn't quite have 50 minerals after placing the core. Is that normal? That's been the difference between 16/17 core for me (and even though 17 sounds so late compared to 16, it's just a difference of a few seconds because it's always either really late on 16 probes or really early in 17 probes that I get it down).

I'm obviously limited by when my gateway finishes - I'm throwing that down as soon as I hit 150 minerals on 12 supply, and it simply does not finish until I'm right about to start probe #17.

I'll do it and post the replay when I get home from work . I can't remember if you have completely continuous probe production. It's possible that the pylon and core stop it temporarily.

You either cut probes fora second for a 16 core or only use 1 CB on probes.

anyone interested in organising an invitational? i'm tempted some time next month to find a caster, chuck down fifty bucks and get some middling euro players that i find entertaining to play for an evening's entertainment anyway, but if a few people here wanted to throw in some cash we could easily get a much higher level of players than what i was intending
