boxer v sen was upsetting ill have to rewatch that to see what happened. thorzain v naniwa was very good.

MIA for a few days bc drinking has left me feeling like ****. fortunately i dont think im a diehard alcoholic and will b able to quit. i quit for 5 years once (im 24) and probably gonna do something like that again since the next day is always so terrible. particularly the morning. cant believe i wrote all that crud above the other day mustve been feeling pretty good to go on a rampage like that.

not drinking anymore for time being. getting into masters league as random and refining build orders as soon as i get back (#1 rank platinum now and never been diamond but been playing lots of them lately) also learning spanish so im more employable is going well. these are my goals, on paper.

This is probably an OOT question, but I'm going to ask here. It's a LC/Not SC2 related question. It's probably too long so read if you want.

Last weekend on Sunday my friend and I went to a Cleveland Indians game (3hr drive from where I live), which eventually got rained out. I bought the tickets through StubHub where the policy is that if the game gets rained out you get a complete refund. It turns out that the Indians are honoring the same tickets whenever the game is rescheduled so no refunds were issued. I'm basically stuck holding the tickets.

My friend and I went on Sunday because it was a day game, he had off work, and it was basically just an all day trip where we got home at a reasonable time at night.

We are guessing that the game will be rescheduled in late August, but it'll be either a Tuesday or Wednesday, a doubleheader, which doesn't fit the plans that good at all.

The plan was that I would buy the tickets, drive, and we would split the cost, so the total cost of the tickets and gas was something like $112, $56 each. He paid for parking, but I subtracted my half from the total.

He hasn't paid me yet as it's really not an issue. I know he'll pay me the money, no hurry. The thing is that I've already put up the money for the game and gas. I told him to pay me and then if he can't go in August (won't take a day off of work), I'll either try to resell the tickets or go with someone else and then give him back his half of the ticket money.

Today he calls me and asks me about it and then tells me that he'll just hold onto his money towards the ticket and then whenever I find someone or resell the tickets I'll just keep the money, basically meaning he doesn't have anything at risk.

I then told him to either tell me he's not going to go and I'm effectively buying the ticket from him, or that he might go and pay me the money for his half, but then I'm not going to accept that he says he's not going to go, doesn't pay me, and then in August decides to change his mind. He then says he's not going to go at all, basically nothing lost other than the gas money. So now I'm stuck holding the tickets until I figure out what I'm going to do. The game hasn't be rescheduled yet, afaik, and even if it is rescheduled until August, nobody is going to buy the tickets until shortly before the day of the game.

He just called me again 10 minutes ago to talk about something else, the issue of the tickets came up, and I told him that he's basically copping out now because he doesn't have anything at risk, but if he paid for everything it would be on him to figure out what to do with the tickets. I'm stuck with the holding cost right now because he basically sees it as not being his problem. He seems to think it's a problem to pay me then me give him money back whenever someone else goes or I end up selling the tickets back on StubHub.

So what's the final verdict here? Should I just eat the total cost and hold onto it (buy his ticket from him), or would you expect someone to pay you so they have some risk in this as well even if they don't plan on going again in late August?

Eat cost and don't go with him again imo. I wouldn't want to surround myself with people who can't be mature/practical about small amounts of money.

Since you've already discussed it multiple times to no avail, you're most likely gonna wind up eating the cost since your friend sounds selfish and/or possibly retarded. It's pretty obvious that he would be expected to pay as originally planned, but he's clearly only thinking about himself.

Alcohol is so bleh, even just a few drinks leaves me feeling dehydrated and crappy. I hate to be that guy but weed is just so much better than alcohol in every way. lol

Very debatable. I've smoked a decent bit, and I've drank a ton. The variety and taste of beer >>>>>> weed, while I would agree that the high is >>> the high of beer prior to being super drunk.

I mean I love a good beer and the buzz from a few drinks is nice but beyond that things start to fall off. At least in my experience. Don't let me give you the wrong idea and suggest that I never get drunk and don't enjoy myself while I'm drunk, but I feel like the experience is a bit deceptive and the inebriation of the alcohol somewhat masks the nastiness it does to your body. The morning after a night of heavy drinking I almost always feel like my brain has just had the water sucked out of it. Whereas a weed high for me is very clear-headed and clean, with no real noticeable hangover.

And I don't really think you can compare the tastes of something you drink to something that is smoked. I'm not looking for taste really when I'm smoking, although good weed can be quite floral and fruity. It's completely different from tobacco smoke, which is harsh, dry and nasty. Smoking good weed doesn't make you feel like you just did major damage to your lungs, whereas on the rare occasion I smoke tobacco I'll taste it even the next day.

The highs from the two drugs are also quite different and which you prefer does depend on your personality and tastes. I tend to be someone that prefers the introspective, relaxed, airy high to giddy, mad drunkenness. Though you can't really go wrong combining a little bit of each with a couple beers and a bowl.

That being said I'm a few drinks deep right now and I haven't smoked in like a month and I look forward to starting my summer job monday so I can get back to doing that.

I can't drink and smoke, get wayyyyy to sick. Yeah the tastes are very different. Should have said something like the process of drinking is more enjoyable to me than the process of smoking. I don't ever get too sick from drinking either, unless it is my birthday which I've yet to not get sick on.

The one thing I really like about weed compared to drinking is the control you have over yourself is much higher. When I get drunk I say/do really stupid things, as opposed to when I get high I usually just sit in a dark room and watch tv/play games.

Ya they definitely potentiate one another. Getting smashed and then smoking is not advisable.

When the first of my real good friends turned 21 he went out and bought a **** ton of beer. It him, myself (20) and my friend who went on to be a a youth pastor (also 20 at the time). We drink about a dozen beers each and birthday boys sister brings out her present for him. Qtr of fire. I had never had the mis-pleasure of drunk smoking before so I opted to partake. About 20 minutes after we finish the bowl pastor starts puking his guts out which prompts me to puke everywhere. Birthday boy jumps in the middle of us while puking and gets his picture taken while posing. Picture is framed and is in birthday boy's house now. As pastor boy went to bed that night after begging us to take him to the hospital he prays to god and asks him not to take him tonight. It was very funny/surreal while happening.

best thing about weed is that weed instantly cures nausea. for instance when youre hung over as **** like i was this morning you should take 1 hit and your nausea/hangover will instantaneously get better. cancer patients going through chemotherapy use it for that very reason. i had none this morning and suffered from nausea the entire day and wasnt able to eat anything the whole day (had a cup of soup that i couldnt take down 1 spoonful of, couldnt drink a cup of coconut water). alcohol makes you useless the next day and i hate it alot right now.
