i drew a pvt on testbug for my csl match on friday...and thoughts on openers etc? i have zero experience on this map

The natural is fairly easy to take but the thirds are fairly isolated and might be tough to hang onto.

i know the team we're facing has alot of good Z's, i wasnt there when they were discussing map picks and i couldn't believe they decided to put me on testbug, was pretty tilting. So 2 base collossi?

I'd go with 2 base something for sure. I actually can't recall seeing a tvp on testbug though, there's always a zerg involved lol. Dealing with good drop play beyond 2 base seems pretty difficult unless you've got something already going for you.

If you predict having to deal with lots of drops, I'd go with 2 base HT + Gateway with good ups. Dealing with drops with Col is so much more difficult I find (might just be me).

Adding in the new warp prism makes me like this build a lot more. You can have lots of obs and a warp prism plus HT.

In the current map pool, what maps are good for FFE, and should you ever FFE against a terran or protoss?

No only vs Zerg... basically every map which doesnt have a wide open natural you can FFE. Typhon Peaks or w/e the name is,is a sentryexpandmap-

never do it vs. terran or protoss. both are easy deaths. just vs. zerg.

You can get away with a 15 or 16 Nexus on Tal vs Terran. If they scout you first be ready to defend with probes.

I'm convinced you can do it vs protoss. But it seems you can't vs terran. What are standard builds v ran for protoss? Always 3 gate robo?

no, just open your standard gate/cyber and you should be able to see what they are. if zerg, you can 1-3 gate expo, if terran, do whatever, if toss, do whatever.

1gate expand/ 1gate robo expand/ 3gate expand are all standard. and call them T or terran :P. you cant support 3gate robo off of 1 base so its pretty all inn ish

you can pretty much FFE every map with good simcity and micro. pretty sure white-ra opens FFE every map. i've seen kiwikaki FFE on dual site as well.

I wish I was good at FFE, life is so much better on 2 base.
