Taeja vs Life was most entertaining series of the tournament imo, still a great final. Still at least 3 great tournaments to come this year with HSC, DH Winter and Hot6ix

im not too sure how close it ever was either. kills economy then takes bad trades for 10 mins while being unsure if he should finish off the economy (taeja had ONE oc for a bit) or defend vs the army. letting terran kite your ground army on the edge of creep while you attempt to muta harrass is not going to end a game.

other way to look at it is that taeja would always have mules and games are not ever blowouts, take out ~8-10k of mined minerals at that stage of any other game and see who wins.

overall id say this is one of the more balanced times for the matchup in a long while

ya this, but he didn't need to. he was miles ahead for the majority of the game. huge army leads with massive economy deficits like taeja had are only good if you're in the process of killing the opponent, not if you're just starting to walk across the map to kill one of the zerg's four bases.
