I guess, but watching it at the time I didn't think it was ethical. Eugene and Anthony are/were very nice guys FWIW.

uh who are you and what are you talking about? thats not true at all because at the time those 3 were all LHE specialists. I was the only one who played other games and did so on my own accounts.

I physically sat and listened in a live game as Anthony received a call from someone that they, "Had Hellmuth at 300-600 Omaha". The decision was then made that Eugene would play him. He was sitting right across from me in the game with his laptop playing both games.

I'm not sold on the notion that this was ok behavior at that time. I think it's clearly unethical whether it was written in the rules or not and whether it was commonplace or not.

I'm not here to prosecute them, like I said they were both very nice guys but it should be told like it is.

Are you their friend that was at Umass that played Stud Hi/Low? I'm Tony but I don't think we know each other.

Re: Top five most famous/influential online LHE players ever

Ok - I'm sure that happened but anthony only played LHE back then, same with Matt, so there was no discussion about who would play, he was probably sitting on eug's acct cuz eug was playing live? I dunno what to tell you we werent a team of great mix players just waiting to chop people up on different accounts. Any multiaccounting was certainly within the guidelines of the spirit of back in the day. congrats for holding on to such salacious gossip for all these years.

people forget that UB let multiple people login on the same account and play at the same time, in addition to letting you have 3(I think?) accounts, and given UB being one of the pioneers in the wild west of high stakes action plenty of people I presume just went via the T&C's and not whatever seems "right".

All kinds of different standards then.

Oh, silly me.
DERB is in yellow, Angelina in blue. Don't be fooled by his appearance. It was just a "phase" or movie part, not sure

Think Ed Miller deserves a mention too as his books were very good at the time.

yep Miller and Sklansky should be somewhere close to the top as they have probably shaped the majority of live and online LHE players more than any others

Then Lee Jones belongs on the list, too, to say nothing of his uncredited co-author, Roy Hashimoto.

(NB: completely on the up-and-up. Lee offered space on the byline to Roy, who demurred, preferring to keep a low profile.)

I believe Roy Hashimoto is the person who first described the kicker battle in hold'em as being "domination."
