If you are ok with the suburbs, I beleive Pokercast producer extrodinaire Bunner has a room in his house open.

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
I'm hesitant to be 100% about many things, but yeh the 'secret''s up Ashley. Come back to 10-20+ pls, or with any of your other imaginary accounts.
Trying to stay on topic - what's so great about Canada? Not saying it's bad, I'd love a spell there, but tax free UK ftw.

It'd be the easiest transition I think.

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
uk is a pretty bad option for most. expensive, far away, and not tax free. although i do like it there, if cost wasnt a big deal it would be nice, especially in the summer. also you can only stay 3 months in the EU on a tourist visa.

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
Fair enough. Just I met some German emigres live here, apparently don't have to pay their tax. Obv a lot easier visa situation for EU. I don't know how tax works with living overseas for different countries.

I'm starting to get the feeling that I am some sort of pariah. I PM'd the guy and got zero response.... Which is the norm for most of the people I've contacted via 2p2 RE: Canada
ugh, so frustrating

Yea, thats def one issue. Shopping from 1.5k miles away isn't easy. I've also never had to shop for an apt before so I'm a virgin and that certainly doesnt help.

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
My old sublet was great and might still be available starting March 1st fully furnished in yaletown a block from the Burrard bridge for 1600/month. If you would like my old landlord's name let me know.

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
NOTL is actually a very small town of 15,000 people. Quite pretty and not too far from the casinos if you want to grind 5/5NL. If you are looking more for a small town feel then really all of Canada is open as most of Canada has a small town feel. I would check out places like Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John's Newfoundland for a small city with a friendly small town feel. If you are just a bit confused and actually do want a city that is close to the US, then Montreal (two hour drive from Burlington, VT) or Vancouver (2.5 hour drive to Seattle) or Toronto (two hours to Buffalo, NY) would all be good bets.
