To those who moved to Canada...
I'd like to speak to some of you intrepid souls who moved to Canada in order to chase down the mighty $. I'm contemplating the move and would like to discuss all things involving Canada and HSLHE.

So, in the current climate where online lhe money is more sparse than it has been in over a decade, you think people are just going to volunteer information that is going to make the games even worse?

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
I'm in Canada. Game are worse than they've ever been, at this moment only 1 game higher than 10/20 is running, and it's 15/30 with 4 regs and an unknown with $400. The bad regs have become solid regs, the solid ones good, and the good ones expert. The 8sup games still run alot, but even he doesn't play as bad as he used to, and getting in those games is very tricky, usually the waitlist gets 10 deep within 5 minutes of the game starting (and I've yet to see anyone #3 on the list EVER get a seat, #1 is rare enough.)
There are randomly days/times where there are a bunch of decent games, but even those require you are already in the action because the wait lists get like 10 deep on all of them.
Hours like right now I feel my hourly is higher walking to the casino across the street and playing 9 handed 2/5 NL. Not an exaggeration.

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
there's still money to be made, but whatever your hourly was itll certainly be lower now. wherever you move, just make sure you can set your schedule to play during euro prime time, cuz games can be practically non-existent in US evenings. I was in Prague a couple months and the schedule worked out fine, but now in thailand i need to somehow grind from like midnight til 4 or 5am, which basically means i just dont get the volume. the other day i literally fell asleep til i lost the nut seat w 8sp. if you're like me and prefer to basically keep regular office hours, canada is prob good, but its also cold.

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
I've been living in Vancouver for a little over 2 months now and I'm loving it in those precious few hours a day I pry myself away from the games to live a little. Food is fantastic, great public transport and accommodating bike lanes and very friendly locals.
It is true that lhe games die in the evenings but PLO games go really strong through the night as well as 8 game which as been fantastic. 27td is pretty dead but has been occasionally great at 30/60 and the rare 100/2 game. I'd be really annoyed if I only played lhe to game select from as games are pretty sh*tty. PLO game selection is fantastic and juicier like lhe was 2-3 years ago.

Re: To those who moved to Canada...
Canada is an amazing country with three world-class cities, one of them Toronto my hometown. The quality of life is very high although most of that you probably don't care about (blah blah health care, music and arts, education) if you are a 20 year old single poker player. My take is kahn is a bit older so pm if you are interested in that stuff.
The online high-stakes games are about what you would expect after an apocalypse that wiped out most of your competition but also a huge chunk of the fish. I am speaking from 2-3 handed experience, I don't really play zzzmax much. I don't play live much as the Toronto scene is run by criminals and I don't have a car and I like to spend evenings and weekends with my wife and friends.
