Re: Promotional high stakes Limit matches on PokerStars

It's too bad that Pokerstars doesn't reveal any numbers but after the first match I had a gut feeling that there was an increase in action, at least for a couple of weeks.

I have always been open to competing in this challenge, but moving to a different city for work held me down for the last few months. Even though I have moved on with my life to work a full-time job now, I would still go out of my way to promote the game I have cared about for so long, the game I still love. Limit Hold'em is incredibly fun to play and I wish more players would give it a shot in the future.

I know everyone of us has a role to play in this, for some it means putting up the money and stepping out to entertain the crowd, like I will try to do.
For those of you with a big reach it can mean leveraging social media to tell everyone that Limit Hold'em is awesome and that they should join in on the rails when we play.
Again for others it can mean to simply be present and cheer, to give people the right impression of our small, but caring community.

If you think you found your role and want to be part of this ambitious project, please feel free to contact me or "PokerStars Baard" here on twoplustwo. We are checking our messages every day and are looking forward to hearing from you.

Please let's all work together and make this opportunity given to us by Pokerstars a huge success!

Best wishes,
hasu

Re: Promotional high stakes Limit matches on PokerStars

imo, limit should become popular quickly with those match because even tho the jam spot all-in with full cash doesnt exist like in NL , im pretty sure just seeing how high the blind cost ( rent money anyone ?) is much higher in limit and with the ammount of cash someone sit in at a table, it would attract lot of curious persons i think .

and maybe, maybe, they would realise how much harder it is to get cleaned out in limit compared to NL...

I think if there was an all show match where both players auto show their cards after each hand, it'll bring attraction to the fish and they'll wanna play

Would that make guys like you who pretend to be girls in order to get free bankrolls, i.e. scammers like you want to play as well?

Yea ashleythegrinder and stlhmnk. People like you are definitely quite scummy. You still jump from table to table talking **** every hand and buttoning every single player you are up against.

Also, I'm sure after nearly a decade of being a complete piece of trash that you've changed your ways based on one 2+2 thread.... I'm sure you will never pretend to be a 25 year old female waitress and steal bankrolls from guys online again.

I dont just randomly do it to people, only if i had a history with them, if i think someone is a nit, or better than me Id simply time down so i got a better chance at winning.

I think if someone is rude enough to constantly sit me and actually HOG the whopping 2 lobbies and never give one up deserves to be punished back, and since those people think im a fish(which is ok its his opinion) then the only way i can get back at them is when i am forced to play is to time down.

If people are rude enough to not to sit me or gimme an open lobby then i dont think they should get my respect to give them a normal poker game, idc if im"wrong" if they clean their act up ill clean my up. funny how they think im the big bad guy here, but they are triggering it.
yeah not scummy at all. This was 4-5 days ago

this isnt the spot for that xerles, and dude, if i tell someone OVER and over NOT to sit me, and they continue to, thats them being rude, so then i will time down, i always have a reason

Re: Promotional high stakes Limit matches on PokerStars

Not to pile on Mark, but you also stated in that post you do it if people are:

a) nits
b) better than you
c) keep sitting you

So basically, you are finding a loophole so you can increase your edge... which people would call angling...

Re: Promotional high stakes Limit matches on PokerStars

A bit off-topic, but:

We are planning to move away from the current system of ’Fast’ and ’Normal’ speed tables, and instead have only one table type in the Ring Game Lobby. This table type will be unlabeled, and the speed will vary based on the game, structure, stakes and how deep the buy-ins are.

Before going forward with this, we would like to hear your opinions on this suggested change in general and also on the specific speed we are suggesting for your particular game.

For Limit Hold'em, we present the following proposal :

Players will still be able to use their time banks as before.

I will review this thread again in about 24 hours and then take your feedback to our team in order to make a final decision.

Best Regards
Baard
