I would like to know what you guys think about how this guy goes about playing poker. I sit only hu tables, 10/20 - 3/6 and I'm sure you other hu guys know how he likes to come and sit at your tables continuously throughout the day.

I have no interest in playing him to find out who will win as I know the rake will just eat me alive. Of course it's within his rights to try get some hands in against me, and sometimes I don't notice in time he's there, we play 2 hands, I sitout and he leaves. The thing is occasionally I'm away from my computer on a toilet /coffee break and if he comes during that time, and see's that I time-out, he insta-sits on my 5/10 and 3/6 tables and gets those blinds too. This has happened 3 or 4 times over a couple months.

Do you guys think he's within his rights to do this or like me do you find this a sleazy, dirty angle-shoot? I've emailed Stars and they've said it's not their problem. The weird thing is, the first time I reported him 4 months ago, they banned him for 2 months. When I reported him again for doing the same thing they said it was just coincidence and when I reported him again last night they said he's within his rights. Strange they seem to be changing their policies on the fly.

(and yeh before anyone says it, I've learned my lesson and will be sitting out of all my stars tables when I leave my desk from now on)

OP-

Please clarify the stakes because your claim that the rake will "eat you alive" doesn't seem to merit posting this in the high stakes forum. (I mean, are you playing 10/20 to 300/600 or 3/6 to 10/20?)

I dont see anything wrong here, he just wanna play with you. But is he any good ? I played with him like 500 hands on 5/T and it seemed like we were just raking the profit. He had in my opinion many leaks in his game but dont know if worth playing him.

yeh just 3/6 - 10/20. I only post here because MTails is well known at 10/20+ so people reading here are more likely to know him.

Maybe you have misunderstood. I don't have a problem with him trying to play me on the 1st table. I do have a problem when he only joins my other tables after he sees I'm not at my computer, thereby guaranteeing him free blind steals.

Historically, Stars has allowed players to steal your blinds from multiple tables while you are afk. This has happened to guys who were sitting at 1k/2k. It is an angle and a scummy thing to do, but it has not traditionally resulted in any punishment. Not much you can do other than be more careful.

When Stars said it was a coincidence, maybe they meant that it was a coincidence that he happened to get banned around the time that you reported him? Or maybe he got banned for a different angle when they were looking at the hand histories? If he is pulling the afk angle, he was likely pulling some other angles that were automatic bans such as grimming.

Why would you leave auto post when you go afk? It is like asking for being angled
