Re: I Quit Poker -- Aliases Revealed

i have played with you a lot on wpex (a year plus ago), and more recently on cake. weird that youre the same person cuz i thought you were kinda bad (overaggressive, tilt too much, too loose) on wpex and good on cake. im sure i just misjudged on wpex.

I already had a 6 figure account to begin with for high stakes play. Then in 2 days I beat a big NL pro out of 90k+ at 250/500 HU LHE (2 12 hour slugfests). Suddenly I had a quarter mill account then they had cash flow issues thanks to (supposedly, though for all I know it was Adam) Futurebet stealing something like 2 million bucks. I ended up getting half of the money back, but many people are still owed, I think the oustanding balance to players is 1.2 mill I think. I also lost another 40k by paying my rakeback clients for their last full month of play out of my own pocket.

I also had 283k stuck in neteller when it got shut down... that sucked.

I guess the wisdom for a high stakes player here is to stay away from small skins and anything even remotely related to Futurebet. Also to use bank wires exclusively... If you move big bucks, you can talk most sites into accepting/giving bank wires even if they dont publicly offer them. Lastly, if you are an American, a Canadian bank account is easy to procure and can help you to move money in some circumstances...
two questions:

have you done a bank wire from cake? i have 6 figures there, and it's a hassle to get it out. i havent tried asking about a wire.

also, do you remember your name on pokes? i think you may have been my affiliate and we talked on AIM. you talked me into getting on pokes. i had over 100k stuck on there. luckily, i dumped it to another skin and cashed it out with no problems after i was sure that was my only chance. obviously i dont condone dumping chips, but this situation was an exception.

You can't get a wire from cake, but you can from epassporte if you're willing to put up with a lot of hassles off the bad. They DO come through but I would estimate from start to finish it would take about 2 months to get a wire from account creation. I know that's ridiculous but it's better than having it sit in cake. Once you get wires approved on epass it's about a week or 2 for subsequent wires and it works pretty smoothly.

Re: I Quit Poker -- Aliases Revealed

thanks bicycle, i do have an epassporte account, but i havent let my balance get over 5k at any one time because ive heard horror stories. ive heard that if you get over 5k, you have to send in info and your account is locked and it may take months to get it unlocked again. you didnt have that experience? how did you get wires approved on there? ive heard it's next to impossible to get in touch with them. any info is appreciated, tx.

oh and sorry to be off topic.

It took me a day or two at most. Call them though after you send in your info to expedite the process.

Re: I Quit Poker -- Aliases Revealed

There are more than a few cases. I learned about all the epassporte nonsense after my account got locked and they asked for verification documents.

Calling customer support after sending in your documents is good advice. I'd also recommend including with your attached documents a list of the documents attached and request confirmation that epassporte actually received the number of attachments in the email that you included.

It took me 2 months of emailing them the same documents over and over before I got mine unlocked.

Good luck \thread-derail.

-Bill

p.s. after you've verified your account for having gone over the 5k mark getting wire transfers is pretty easy.

Re: I Quit Poker -- Aliases Revealed

Mtn it was me you played against on the crypto games, sorry for all the trash talking :-P

Kahn... It was Pau7684545667 who would play those games and always changed the numbers making it impossible for notes to stick, as well as Pokerleo and his associate (maybe the same guy on two pc's) who would play a 65 vpip game and always sat with one other person playing the same way running traps... to bad they sucked at it, fwiw I thought this person was also playing at UB.
