2 months ago ive sent him 10k on pokerstars because he said he wanted to play that 100/200 table but had no money online. weve done transfers before and i know he has no money-problems at the moment so i did it even though i normally never send money first in any transfer somebody wants to make.

whatsoever in the next days and weeks hes been always telling me he will send me the money very soon. i even offered him to give 10k cash to a friend of mine (schn1bl0r) who was in vegas at that time cause of the WSOP. they even met several times before but after i give him the money they didnt meet up and thus i had to wait til he was able to get some money online.

about 5 weeks ago he told me he was doing a wire transfer of 50k to his pokerstars-account but it can take up to 10 business days to be available in his account.

since then he wasnt available on skype anymore which he used to be every day til then.

i havent heared a word from him for about 3 weeks now and i start to become a little worried...

does anybody of you live in vegas and know dustin personally and can ask him to send me the money?

im quite convinced he just forgot about it, but i gave him quite some time to pay his dues until i finally decided to make it public since i dont know how to contact him anymore.

i don't know him personally but this sounds pretty typical of stories i've heard, hopefully it all works out, def not a person i'd ever **** money to first

I don't know, I generally wouldn't recommend sending people with reputations as sick degenerates money.

weve done several transfers before where he always sent me the money first even for quite large amounts (a lot more than this one) so i thought i can trust him, but he somehow proved me wrong ;(

Jail?...Death?...IDK.

Three whole weeks is a very long time to avoid someone. Definitely trying to avoid for that long. It doesnt look goof for you.

looks like you've lost 10k, put it down to expierence that you probably shouldn't lend money to degenerate drug addicts.

Try and contact him and or Dan druff through NWP.com. Wait a couple of days and if you hear nothing x-post this in NVG.

i think youre too negative.

my intention is just to put a little pressure on him since he obviously gets distracted easily, nothing else. im still convinced he just forgot about it.

hopefully man, i think the general consensus is negative because of stories we've heard through the years with issues related to him, I wish nothing but the best for you thought and I'm sure no one here wants you to get scammed, hope it all works out

Having never met or played with nw as far as I can recall I'm guessing this is the kind of guy that really isn't in any hurry to pay someone back and could just get around to it when it's convenient for him. Or maybe he went busto and you will have to wait for him to pay you. Or maybe you'll never hear from him again. I'd guess #3 is the least likely despite his reputation.

kobeyard you're my hero, no wonder why ur such a sick limited poker player.
08-13-2009 , 04:16 PM
limited within the meaning of a fixed limit player or just someone who is limited in his abilities to play poker well? ;D
08-13-2009 , 05:13 PM
short answer: yes. long answer: no. you will likely get paid back but it could take a while, this is not atypical behavior from dustin. i have no reason to believe he would not intend to pay u back but be prepared to wait.
