Was pointed to this thread. Will look it over more tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know that this bug will be fixed in the next update on Thursday morning.

LOL. One of the only ways people have to spot and punish the bots that are running rampant on your site, and you're taking it away. Now that's customer service!

I have long suspected Perromalo, but the guy is usually around to chat. Not that it means much, but he seems different from the others.

Can you PM me your reasoning for the other two, if you don't want to post it here?

Seriously?

You read this thread, and the only thing you come away with is the desire to fix a bug that helps us identify bots?

How about you take a look into all of the bots running rampant on your system? How about you start a dialog with regular players on the site as to the proof we have regarding these bots?

Justin, can I talk to you on the phone about this?

I'm completely speechless...you are referred to this thread and that REALLY is your reaction? Nothing much to say besides your response is completely embarassing, and frankly a slap in tge face of the players who frequent your site. I hope you are just an unsupervised volunteer because any reputable company would be apalled to see your post.

Couple things. I am a liason to the 2p2 community. I work for the posters here more so than for Bodog. Its not my site nor do I have access to anything from Bodog other than an open line of communication to the admninistrators. I'm here to help people here get their feedback to Bodog, no more, no less. I will alert the admins about this thread and will get some information for you guys. My post about the button stealing bug was clearly labeled with the caviat that I hadn't read the thread as I saw that post and figured I would point out that that issue is going to be resolved in the latest update. I intend to pass this thread along to the admins at Bodog but in the future the tone taken after my post in this thread is likely the least effective way to get an issue to decision makers.

Then please advise the most effective way for this issue to reach decision makers? Apparently it isn't poker@bodog.com because my email went unreplied. Sorry if I was too harsh as I can understand that this is not your problem...but it is a problem nonetheless and someone should be accountable. If you haven't noticed (maybe you have) the limit games on Bodog NEVER go anymore (partly bots, partly the insane HU rake increase). Not a coincidence.

THIS x 1000000000

Justin, look how far this thread goes back.

I am relatively new to Bodog, but I was appalled by the lackadaisical attitude by the site's management regarding the bot problem.

Longtime regulars, who have paid tens of thousands of dollars in rake, have put their time and effort into conclusively identifying these bots. Why does Bodog ignore all of their e-mails? Why has Bodog failed to address this problem?

Other sites like Full Tilt and Pokerstars take swift action against bots. You guys won't even listen.

Botting is cheating. You might earn extra rake from bots in the short term, but it hurts your site in the long term. It is also extremely unethical to knowingly allow cheaters to play on your site.

Please direct the administrators to this site so they can explain their inaction regarding this matter.

Also, would you reconsider fixing this bug? It's our best way to identify and combat bot usage.

Re: Bodog Bots

As a player who has lost a substantial amount of money to at least a few of these suspected bots I am very concerned with the lack of action and nonchalance toward this matter by bodog.

If anyone learns anything new please keep us updated here.

Re: Bodog Bots

Just curious what people think of two players:
1) SHIPITFISH
2) OXYMAN

I have played them only 4-6 handed and they almost exclusively play heads up. During the day they are constantly sitting at heads up tables. But what really struck me as odd was the way they played. They were generally far too aggressive preflop and took hands too far postflop (ie rarely giving up before the river). These two tendencies seemed consistent with a bot who was mainly programmed to play heads up. I really don't mind them because they were playing poorly in the games I have seen them (small samples to be fair).

But the other thing that struck me about both of these players was the amount of time it took to make their decisions. Oxyman's were instant. I mean he called so fast that I had barely pressed my bet button before his call went in. So fast that it didn't even seem like a human could press the button so fast. Also he never took anytime at all to make a decision. Which struck me as robot like.

I actually have no problem playing these two guys because there were absolutely terrible in the 6 max games, and it almost kinda seemed like they were given a trial run in both games that I saw them in the multiway games, and they were terrible and removed 60-100 hands later. But oddly these players constantly are crushing the heads up limit games.

I could be way off. I have no concrete evidence to support my suspicions other than the general feeling you have when you are playing other humans, and them lacking these characteristics. You can see humans thinking. Or hesitating. And you can see them planning in their pauses. Or hesitating because the nightmare card just came. These players had no human like pauses. Every decision came way too fast. It seemed painfully obvious.

But until the bots can be programmed to play 6 handed appropriately I have no problem with them and just won't play them 3 handed or less.

Re: Bodog Bots

This glitch is in fact fixed. Just sat at a heads up table with SHIPITFISH and I could only get the button once.
