Bodog Bots

Just a quick warning about (at least) the Bodog 20/40 and 30/60 games. The following are bots...

Apol1983 (Philippines)
hothandjules (Philippines)
Lory123 (Philippines)
cityofgod (North Hills, CA)

Note: I put the location b/c when there are bots on a site there are always "more" and they are generally from locations near one another.

I've only looked at the games briefly but I imagine the list will grow. Anyway, if anyone actually plays there and wants some more specific information feel free to PM me.

Johnny, do you really think the bots just hoard money in their accts? Do you think the bot syndicate cares at all if anyone posts anything on 2+2? Do you really think they "left" FT?

If you answered yes to any of these questions you don't have a clue about anything that goes on with these bots. Trust me when I say these bots/bot owners work much differently than you think.

Also, saying noone got (will get) any money back b/c of that post is comical.

Further, if you think getting bots shut down at Bodog will be the same as getting them shut down at FT/Cereus/Stars then you're sadly mistaken.

Re: Bodog Bots

i answered yes to every one, i understand they don't hoard money in their accounts but you essentially make it so the little they keep on no one has a chance of getting back, it's just silly

You don't understand Johnny. Bots don't cash out because they think they might get caught. That's not how it works.

How is what you're doing more effective than word of mouth? It's a small community.

Re: Bodog Bots

The thing about bots is, they are made by those of us that have gone to the Dark side.

Similar to those who are at first against drugs, then we try them a little and think 'hey these aren't so bad' they're not really hurting anyone...

Next thing you know, BOOM BOOM POW

Who really knows who is a bot these days...

The end is nigh, and I'm serious. Online poker is doomed by design.

So you're saying a 2+2 luker who doesn't have any "friends" in the 2+2 community doesn't deserve to know he's playing against bots?

Apol1983 - +72k
hothandjules - +2k
Lory123 - -$15k

Not sure what's LOL when these guys are essentially taking money directly out of your pocket.

Re: Bodog Bots

i wonder how many bb's/100 edge a bot has over any human in tilt avoidance. the fact that every bet on every street is thought through and made correctly according to their algorithms has to be some fraction of a bet per hundred advantage. we can't help but miss some bets or folds based on multitabling, forgetting the action, emotions, etc.

i've heard many times from good players that they don't mind the bots because they win money off them. the problem is, the bots can be at the tables 24/7, and for the other 20 hrs/day you're not playing them, someone worse than you is, and probably losing. they could have lost that money to you, maybe weeks down the road, but their bankroll took a hit and now they're playing 5/10.

Forgive my ignorance on such matters, but on what do you base your conclusions? Seems like pretty significant allegations to be tossing around.
