Re: Besides Commerce and Borgotta....

Parx in PA has lots of higher stakes during the week, Sat and Sun are slower as action moves to the Borgata.
This is running at 9:45 on a Monday night:
6-12 O/E 1/2 kill 1
200-400 H.O.S.E. 1
15-30 HOLDEM 2
150-300 LIMIT O/E 1
40-80 H.O.E. 1

The 40/80 game at the Borgata might be the worst LHE game I've ever played in. It is comprised of regulars soft-playing each other and passing their money back and forth. I'd rather play 1-5 stud than play that game.

Okay, I'll bite: How many 40-80 LHE games have you played in?

Re: Besides Commerce and Borgotta....

Obviously The Bike has a game also.

Otherwise, if you're ever in the Toronto area (Canada), there are two casinos that are purely limit - Great Blue Heron and Brantford Casino.

Both offer solid 20-40 and 30-60 spreads, DAILY - 90% percent of the time they stay going.

The 20-40 games are also half-kill games, whenever a pot goes over $400.00 the stakes moves up to 30-60 until the player who won the pot loses his/her streak.

Re: Besides Commerce and Borgotta....

Can anyone confirm the Venetian started offering limit recently ?

I was at Bellagio last month and someone at the table said Venetian has $15-$30 and higher there now.

I've only know them to have NL and low limit O8/better.

Re: Besides Commerce and Borgotta....

I am soooooooo behind the times (esp when it comes to anything technological!), but I just downloaded the Bravo Poker App and it's pretty good. It will tell where a lot of action is. I was shocked, for example, to see that the biggest action as ALL at the Borgata this past weekend. They were playing 800/1600 8 mixed for a while.

The point, however, is that Bravo will tell you where there are games near you at all stakes. That, it seems to me, would give you a good sense, no?

Re: Besides Commerce and Borgotta....

I don't remember specifically which room, but last time I was in Seattle, WA it was not hard to find 20/40. Things may have changed, but as of 2 years ago NLH was not lawful in Washington State (or so I was told). Consequently the cardrooms had entirely FLHE games and the better rooms would have both a 3/6 (or 4/8) and a 20/40 (or larger).
