your just being paranoid

Actually, TP was violating the rule. However, I do share your frustration Trypt and can only hope this is a sign of better.

My proposal received much approval in this thread, yet it hasn't been addressed by anyone affiliated with Pokerstars. Could a Pokerstars employee acknowledge it has been received and considered?

Have you emailed them? You'll most likely get the standard canned response, butif thats all you're loooking for then go fr it. Fwiw, I'd say its a long shot they ever do it since it seems like a very extremechange from the current structure.

You should copy highstakes@pokerstars as well.

Also an update from my end:

I've probably reported fifteen to twenty people in the past week and Baard has taken action against several of them by booting them and sending an email.

I've noticed a big improvement in the games just in the past two days but there's still a bunch of people violating the rules that haven't been caught yet. I don't think it's going to take long for this to clear up if the enforcement continues. I haven't seen a repeat offender (that's been warned) yet.

Last days I have gotten buttoned way way too much whenever i continue after fish sits out.

Even had an episode just now that went like this:
Fish sits out.
Everyone except for me and one other reg sits out immediately (within 2-3 seconds).
After playing a few hands of HU I say "play or leave guys".
Moderator then quickly joins the table and tells me I cant say that, and that it is up to PS to determine who is allowed to play. Then leaves without even considering the point i was trying to make.

So are these rules against sitting out now scrapped?
Tbh i dont care either way at this point, it would just be nice to know what the actual rules of the game are on PS.

I don't play at stars very often. It's like this on every other site too though.

Anyone wanna share a custom PT3 HUD with me? I suck at programming

They definitely aren't scrapped. I've probably reported twenty people over the last two or three weeks and Baard has booted and warned them all. There are still people doing it but the situation is improving. Funny though I have noticed it's better whenever I'm on. I think people realize I'm reporting people and obey the rules more when I'm around. I say this because a lot of times I'm watching the lobby and tables when I'm not playing and I see a lot more of it going on then.

Believe me i know
The thing tho is that when rules like this are enforced in a half-ass way I prefer to have no rules

heh, i think maybe u are right about this actually

i mean, i see u posting about improvement and them taking action, but whenever i play on PS it tends to be the same old same old like 90% of the time

I sent this Skype message to Baard and Nick today. I'm fed up with this whole situation.

[7:34:54 AM] Anthony Pirone: Baard, I haven't seen you and Nick on for days and the sit-out situation has gotten exponentially worse. There's no way I or anyone else can follow the rules when everyone is blatantly breaking them with no recourse. The people following the rules continue to get buttoned and lose money. It's not fair.

[7:47:48 AM] Anthony Pirone: Is there another solution to this, somebody else we can contact? Some other way we can report these people? Some way it can be investigated?
04-16-2012 , 07:50 PM
This is the response I got. Please send screen shots when this happens to highstakes@pokerstars.com. I have been including the hand history and the lobby to show the time in the screen capture. Also if you can show the same people playing at other tables (if you're multitabling with them), I think that would help too.

[2:47:49 AM] Nick Williamson: I'm sorry we were less available the past few days. If you take screenshots of the offenders when they do this, we can still take action against them, and lengthier bans will start piling up against those who do this frequently.

I've been in touch with Baard recently because of the Highstakes FLH games and i've also sent him a solution how to implement jumping into games with "the Johnny bucket". He seemed quite interested and told me that it's one option they're considering. If this idea gets some more positive feedback by the players, maybe we can influence them.

Many thanks to both of you for working on a more permanent solution.

Was frustrating to see you lose a seat yesterday, piranha, while others were not following the rule. Baard and Nick were not on but my VIP rep from Montreal was nice enough to help out relaying the message and send in screen shots, and today I got word that people were definitely warned. So despite everyone's frustrations, now more than ever, we need to keep this up so that those who refuse to heed the warnings will lose privileges.
04-19-2012 , 08:39 PM
Thanks I agree. I actually sent in screen shots of that yesterday as well and received an email back that the players were warned - at least one of them has been warned twice now.
04-20-2012 , 12:20 AM
just curious but how did you lose your seat piranha?
04-20-2012 , 01:12 AM
I didn't want to play heads up so I left.
04-20-2012 , 04:11 AM
ah ok, thought that might have been it, but the way kpr worded it i thought maybe it was something else
04-23-2012 , 11:33 AM
Great to hear, rUaBot. Hopefully LHE will stop being a miserable experience soon.

The other simple improvement is to have players randomly assigned a seat when they join a new table, rather than giving them the choice of seat. Seat-hopping and left-sitting, which is humiliating for the targeted player, ends immediately. Another fair and abuse-proof solution. Skill at quickly grabbing the best seat shouldn't trump actual playing ability, as it currently does.
04-25-2012 , 10:31 PM
Why don't you people just ALWAYS play 3+ handed, like I did? Gee, somehow I still made money while being a HUGE impetus for games to start and to keep going. Fish LOVED to play in my games because I talked to them, tilted alongside them, and was never afraid to gamble. Ya'll should thank me.

****ing pussies

"ZOMG my edge in this 100/200 game is -.002456 let's snap sit out even though there is no 50/1 or 30 game and only 1 game at 15/30. PLUS EV PLUS EV PLUS EV BEEP BOOP I AM A ROBOT"

this is gambling

if you all would recognize that simple fact then we wouldn't have these problems

I'd gladly play a 6 handed 1/2 game with Tpir-KPR-Zziggy-St1ck-Schaafsheep (or whatever 5 winning regs are around) if the next highest game around was 10/20. But you **** are so incredibly obsessed with grinding out whatever miniscule amount of Sklansky bucks can be squeezed out of every situation that you forget that you are playing a gambling game.

I am in U.S. and not allowed to play on Pokerstars but was still curious if this situation has improved?

Not really. This is earning a living by playing a skill game for many of the long-term posters in this forum.

Learned something new today that i thought was worth sharing; Apparently it is never allowed to sit out on just some of your tables. If you sit out on one you have to immediately sit out on all tables according to PS support. Even if you are first and only one to sit out.

Correct Baard?
