I love how my thread got hijacked by someone and is no longer on the topic of what other players thoughts were on the 1,500 LIMIT HOLDEM WSOP event structure.
it's a limit holdem tournament - the structure is not going to be great no matter what - it's a variancefest. yes, good players have an edge over the bad players, but it's still about who runs well in the mid and later stages. after several hours - 100 or 150 hands - everyone is shortstacked.
I want to also play in a 1,500 NL tournament too this year. I noticed the WSOP does not use automatic shufflers until final table! How many hands are we averaging per hour.........

So you're telling me there's a chance......Yeah!!!
I've played in the 10K events the last two years and it was ridiculously soft.
(Ex) EP open raises. MP three bets. Vanessa Russo 4 bets from the button. It gets to showdown and she shows A3o. And I though she was one of the better players at my table.
This event is tomorrow. I will drive up there and try to improve on my result from last year where I busted just outside the money. Good luck to anyone else who is playing.
