Re: Turb0's WSOP/VDSE Rail

Ty fellas, appreciate the kind words.

UPDATE: Kinsse had to cancel, so I will pick up that 1%

5/24/12 - - VDSE Event 1a Didn't get much going, was pretty card dead through the first few lvls then may have overplayed 10s when I 3bet shoved an under flop that was HHH, and ran into JJ (hand on Twitter). We both had a heart and I was in rough shape, didn't improve. I put the young kid on a big heart, but certainly not JJ with the J of hearts, as I was the aggressor pre, believe he just flatted my raise pre. Meh was a minor cooler, but I went with my read.

5/28/12 - - WSOP Event 2 Was hella card dead, and actually late regged during the first level. With the 25/25 1st lvl, I figured It wouldn't matter much and grabbed a bite to eat before I reg'd so I'd be full and fresh. I 3bet Steve Zolotow in position with AKd pre and c/f river after we checked down, obvi not hero'ing him off on the river that early in the MTT and highly doubt I had the best hand otr.

Never got much going, think I won a small pot or 2 but didn't get cards when it counted. I ended up shoving my last 8-9 BBs (not sure how I even got that low, I busted shortly after 2nd break) with AJo<A8o. I shoved UTG+1 I believe and was looked up by A8o and of course an 8 right in the window. Meh don't really mind that call, actually want that call all day, but just wasn't my day.

Next event - 6/3/12 - - WSOP Event 9b $1500 NLH

Re: Turb0's WSOP/VDSE Rail

UPDATE: Will meet up with Roman and DJ soon to collect reserves.

6/3/12 - - WSOP Event 9b Woke up and wasn't feeling 100% (sinuses were really bothering me for a solid 3 days) so I decided to skip the re-entry. Pretty shytty event to miss, considering the turnout with re-entries and all, but oh well wasn't feeling my best and when that happens I just don't play, simple.

Refund + MU coming back from this, but will use some for when I swap out the VDSE, for the Caesars $1K ME which is July 7th I believe. Will update closer to the event.

6/4/12 -- VDSE Event 10 All updates were on Twitter but for those who don't follow there a little recap: I was relatively quiet at the start, not seeing many hands and later on turned it up after finally seeing some hands and playing position. Was pretty much hovering around the chip average or a little under for the most part and then called a spewy players AI with AJs<AQo. Lost like 1/3 of my stack with that call, but given his image and what he had done early on (cracked AA with 106o) I felt he was making a move and my AJs was def beating the top of his range and he was shoving light, but unfortunately he actually woke up with a hand. Few hands later (didn't make dinner break) I open shove AKs on top of an open from the CO and he snaps me off with AJo. Flop is K-10-X and it looks like we are cruising for a much needed double, but alas the unforgiving Q falls on the turn and bust. Really surprised the player made the call, he had a pretty tight image and had seen me play premium hands all day, oh well.

6/7/12 - - WSOP Event 16 (6Max) Was really looking forward to this event as I feel 6Max plays into my game a lot as I'm fairly active and aggressive for the most part. I had a decent starting table draw. Believe Shawn Buse was in the 6 seat, but I could be wrong. Other than that, a few older dudes who were ABC all the way. Didn't get too much going in the early levels but managed to run my stack up to 10K at dinner (wasn't anything impressive, but given what I had played and few beats I took I was OK with it) Would have obv liked to have 18K-28K going into dinner, but it is what it is. Moved tables before dinner and the draw had a few english wizards and young kids who played pretty straight forward. The one english wizard opened MIN pretty much every hand but he layed off a little when I 3bet him 3 hands in a row. After dinner, got super short losing an AI flip where I flopped oesd and lost to a FD, was pretty meh but I was looking to gather chips and figured It was an optimal spot considering he was a lot shorter than I was. After losing that AI and blinding down a lvl or 2 I ended up shoving my last 3K at BB800 in the BB over an open, and the english wizard had AA. Turned a 10 ball, but didn't improve on river. There was 1,600+ runners in this 6max, paying 166, believe I busted around 270ish. Pretty meh, but I'm playing great poker right now, made my first WSOP dinner break 2nd one in and I'm confident for the rest of the way.

Next event - 6/10/12 - - WSOP Event 21 $1K NLH

Re: Turb0's WSOP/VDSE Rail

UPDATE:

6/10/12 - - WSOP Event 21 ($1K NLH) Not much to go over, considering I busted within the 2nd lvl. 3K start, I was down to 2K after losing AJ<AK for 1K, then a few hands later run set over set AIOT 10s<KK, nothing I could do, we both flopped sets and got it all in on the turn. Roman (GrimeRat420) was at the table behind me and happened to see the brutal bust out hand.

6/12/12 - - VDSE Event 20 ($600 NLH) . Skipped todays event due to my sinuses still acting up. I'm just not feeling 100% these past few days, and I always consider myself going deep in any MTT I play and If I'm not feeling well, It's -EV for me and investors IMO.

I will be making some of this up as I will be swapping the $400 VDSE for the Caesars $1K main (I believe they fall on the same day, I have to double check) and will update accordingly as we get closer to that event. I'm also considering using some of the refunds for events missed for Rio 2pm DeepStacks.

I feel these are of great value and only get bigger closer to the ME as I've been told. I've watched the numbers grow on these from 600ish when they started, to over 1K runners the other day. $230 BI for a potential $40K+ score is excellent value IMO. I have a pretty spread out schedule so I'm not 100% sure If I can make WSOP/VDSE events up without conflicting with my original schedule, If anyone objects to using some refunds from events missed for 2pm Rio DeepStacks, let me know. I will also post on Twitter the Rio DeepStacks that I will play for the package (most likely any of them I play) but again this will all be specified BEFORE the start of the Rio DeepStacks, so theres no confusion and everything is clear.

Next Event - 6/16/12 - - VDSE Event 25a $400 NLH

Re: Turb0's WSOP/VDSE Rail

Was grinding cash with your college roommate (I think that's what he said?) yesterday at the Rivers in Pittsburgh. Gave him my number so perhaps we can meet up during the two weeks I'm in Vegas.

GL this summer!

Re: Turb0's WSOP/VDSE Rail

UPDATE: Sorry for the lack of updates on the Staking Rail recently. I of course, have been active on Twitter for events, and for those I have missed as well. As most of you know via Twitter, I was sick all last week, just feeling like straight garbage. For this, I skipped some events as I just wasn't feeling 100% and I always consider myself to go deep in any MTT I play, therefore I need to feeling well.

I did however play some Rio DeepStacks (2PM & 6PMs) as there is a ton of value in those. Really need to run hot in them, which for the most part I did not, however I managed to min cash a $235 2PM (93rd or so out of 1,200+ runners) for under $500. Don't remember them giving me a receipt for my cash out which is odd, and I don't see it tracked on HendonMob, so will find out how much that cash was for exactly. I will list all the Rio DeepStacks and the one I cashed on my next update (believe it's around $1K in BI's), I have noted them all on Twitter, but will give a complete breakdown next.

6/16/12 - - VDSE Event 25a ($400 NLH) Updates/Big Hands/Recap are posted on Twitter for this.

6/20/12 - - VDSE Event 29 ($600 NLH) Updates were on Twitter.

6/24/12 - - WSOP Event 44 ($1K NLH) DNP, refund + MU coming back.

6/27/12 - - VDSE Event 38 ($600 NLH) DNP, refund + MU coming back.

6/30/12 - - VDSE Event 42a ($600 NLH) DNP, refund + MU coming back.

In other news, I may have to fly home in the next few days or so. Which of course I'm not happy about seeing as I have 4 events left, however It's a family matter that I may not be able to avoid. I have already told Roman (GrimeRat420) about it as I see him daily at the Rio. This is not 100% yet, I just need to let investors know that the possibility is there, and relatively high that I may not play the remaining events, which of course will be refunded + MU if skipped.

Re: Turb0's WSOP/VDSE Rail

So, as most if not all of you know. I had to fly home Friday night/Sat morning to be with my family. I appreciate the concern shown from many of you and from my circuit friends. As much as I hate to miss my last few events, especially when I didn't turn a profit, with my family is where I needed to be.

Mixed emotions on my 1st WSOP tbh. I ran like trash but besides that I didn't have great people to live with while I was in Vegas for the series, and really overall just gave me a negative vibe. That doesn't speak for my game at all, I played some of the best poker I have all year I feel, however just living with negative people, didn't help.

Being sick for that week or so also sucked A LOT. I NEVER get sick, well sick enough to stay in bed that is. And because of this I had to miss some events, that tbh I'm more than OK with as I'm sure you investors are as well. Theres no need to play a long, grueling MTT when your sick, you're just not in the correct state of mind and I need to be 100% fresh, and I just wasn't.

FINAL BREAKDOWN:

**I have every, single MTT receipt that was played for the package, even the Rio DeepStacks. However, the Rio DeepStack cash is not on HendonMob, or WSOP website. Maybe it takes a little bit, usually it's done quickly but I wanted to make sure the cash # was correct so I called the Rio to find out (was a hassle but I got it done). I didn't post MTT receipts on twitter, because a lot can be searched via wsopdb.com (thanks to a poster on here) If anyone wants to see them, just let me know and I will load them all onto PhotoBucket.**

Events Played: 7/16 (not including Rio DeepStacks)

Total Refunds (w MU): $1,890 + $738 + $1,250 + $738 + $738 + $1,250 + $689 + $488 + $738 = $8,519

Refunds Used for Rio DeepStacks: $185 + $235 + $185 + $235 + $185 = $1,025

Cashes: 6/23/12 - $235 2PM Rio DeepStack - $468 (93/1,286)

TOTAL: $8,519 + $468 - $1,025 = $7,962

1% = $79.62

2% = $159.24

2.5% = $199.05

3% = $238.86

4% = $318.48

5% = $398.10

7% = $557.34

Please let me know how you want refunds to be sent out. Ideally I can do PayPal, BofA and Chase QP (If you have the Chase Account) I can also send out checks if that's your preference. I will need to load money onto PayPal which can take up to a week (usually not) depending on the bank.

Thanks again for all the continued support, I'm pretty disappointed with how my summer went tbh, but this is the first time I've experienced MTT variance, and I know this sounds ignorant, cocky, ego tripped, etc, but I'm used to making deep runs/shipping an event, FTs etc. and it just didn't turn out that way. This is my first package in a while that didn't turn a profit and overall I'm just disappointed with how I ran, not how I played.

We took a 1/2 loss on the package, but plenty of refunds + MU coming back and a little over a min cash in a Rio DeepStack. Could have been worse, could have blanked everything, guess theres one positive way to look at my dismal summer
