Busted Day 2 of the ME 290/650 ish. Sending refunds for the unused satellite now. Here's a recap - hopefully we'll do better next weekend with the NAPT.
Started off Day 1 pretty well and got up to 50K, but ended up losing a chunk when I flopped a pair and flush draw and couldn't get my opponent off an overpair and didn't improve. Also lost a sizeable pot when I bet called with a straight on the river on a paired board. Opponent was playing pretty crazy, so I thought it was the right line, but in hindsight I obv wish I had check called. He had rivered a full house. Lost a few small pots and finished the day with 16K.
Got up to about 23K on Day 2, but could never get much momentum going. There was a lot of action before me and I couldn't get any cards/find got spots to make moves and ended up blinding down a good chunk. In the end, I shoved 12.5 BBs from UTG +3 with Kings and got called by A10 of clubs on the button. Nice rainbow flop, Ace on the turn, gg me.
Played well and doubled my starting stack early, but after that I couldn't do anything right. Went a little nuts with A10 off in the last level and ended up running into aces and losing 20K+ chips. Finished the day with 12.7K. I'll try and do better tomorrow.
Doubled up on the first hand of the day with 99 against A6. Played really well, finding good spots all day, and built my stack to 100K. Victor Ramdin, who was CL, was moved to our table. He took 40K from me on a failed double barrel. After that, I found some more good spots and built it back to 110K. With blinds of 1200/2400, Ramdin opens from ep to 5700. He was opening like half the pots. I 3-bet with 9s from the SB to 14.5K. He calls like always as he never folds. Flop is 4 6 8 all spades. I don't have a spade. I lead 23.5K, he pops it to 80K, and I snap get it in. He has K4 of diamonds. Turn blank, river 4. Puke. Happy with my play today after a shaky Day 1. Finished like 94/417. Sorry I couldn't do better, thanks for the investment.
