As stated in the op we have $1500 in extra funds for rio $235s, venetian $200s, old downtown randoms). Basically going to play these if i bust something early & still feel like grinding or wanna grind a day off. I'll specify if these have action on twitter. This rail thread will be different than my previous ones & will only have results/missed tourneys. I'll be updating every couple tourneys. Possibly a hand or two, but i think it's probably going to be good in such a long schedule to clear my mind from poker after i bust a tourney & not overthink things.

Well lets do this guys! GL to everybody else out here & I hope to return u guys a very not greedy 450%ish roi

Made day 2 of the opening venetian $400. 132k @ 1500-3k with 25 minutes remaining. 45 left from this flight from 400 starting, so we should be close to the $$. Ran well getting 20bbs in with jj and spiking a jack vs qq & winning a couple other crucial pots when i could get in danger if i lost them.

So this means I'll be skipping tomorrows $400 & the Saturday $600 to play day 2 of this. Hopefully have good news to report on late Saturday night

tks, nice riv laydown when i turned the set of 7s the other day!

Cashed the 5/24 V $400 for $766. If you missed on twitter, i got crippled on the bubble vs a good young russian when he picked up qq & i had jj.

Played the 5/27 V $400 today. I busted 35th when 27 paid. Small field, never got anything going in the least bit. Lost a flip with qq to bust. Overall things seem to be going well so far. Feeling very comfortable & the fields havent seemed overly tough.

Cashes : $766
Skipped tourneys: $1000

Re: Splashthap0ts 2012 vdse/wsop rail

Made day 2 of the 5/28 Venetian $400. 12 left, 17k up top.
I've got 160k & we start at 4-8k. I shoved 20bbs over a button raise with kjdd & the bb who had 19.5bbs called off with aq & held. So im down to 4k @ 3-6k, 500 ante. I see there is a 3 way allin on the other table so i ante 500 & muck my j7o. Guy busts so $ jump was like $350 from 13th to 12th. I proceed to win k6 on k88 to triple, 99 on a664q to quadruple, get a walk, shove the sb & get a fold. Fold one hand, then i cram qk over a minraise & he calls off a6 i get the lovely kj4 flop & hold!! 160k from 3.5k in 6 hands!!

So we will be adding another $400 to missed tourneys & another cash which hopefully turns out to be meaningful!

Re: Splashthap0ts 2012 vdse/wsop rail

5/30 & 6/1 Venetian $600s played & busted.

The 5/30 one i busted out right before dinner break. Had a tough opening table, but still grabbed chips. Bit unlucky in a pot to double where i was a huge fav & then just kinda took shoves for a long time eventually busting at 6-1.2k shoving 11bbs in the sb & bb's k9 held.

6/1 was today. Absolutely miserable. Pointless to even get into as every hand was just ridiculous bs. Amazing table draw, if this is any indication of the future fields im salivating! Was a bit nervous that the 600s might be semi tough after my 1st table on 5/30, but that later got kinda soft after some wizards busted & my next one was great.

1st wsop up next!

Total cashes: $2576
Missed Tourneys $1400

Re: Splashthap0ts 2012 vdse/wsop rail

Wsop 1500 on 6/2 played & busted. Table was pretty standard, 4 fish busted early and unfortunately i didnt get any of it. Got down to 2.8k at 50-100 & kept having to open AT from lp & got 3bet each time against people who usually have it. Opened aj 2 off button to 225 @50-100, sb flats with 1.8k, bb makes it 500. I sigh fold, he shows aces that type of stuff. Shoved 1775 at 75-150 from button when it folded to me with a8 & bb has ajss.

6/3 Venetian 400 i bubbled busting 42nd when 36 paid. Really lame, second time this has happened. Just ran terrible when it mattered, losing every hand in the 800-1600, 1-2k & 1200-2400 levels. Shoved the last 15bbs in with 77 & lost to sb's ak. Had 6k left but a5 couldnt fade ak.

6/4 Venetian 600. Not much to report here. I got there 15 minutes late (fiances family left town today, so had to say goodbye and got in the shower late). Mp opens to 300, button flats, i go 1300 in the sb with black aces. Button makes it 6200 (lol), i shove he calls black kk & flop kq8 im pretty much dead. Heh I think this is the 1st time i have busted a live tourney the very 1st hand. Day off tomorrow, and venetian 400 on 6/6. I have a day off on Thursday also & might run a rio 235er or something like that.

Re: Splashthap0ts 2012 vdse/wsop rail

Played & busted both the 6/6 Venetian 400 & the 6/8 Venetian 600.

400 i busted at either 3-6 or 4-8 when i squeezed 44 from the bb over a lp raise & dead $$ button flat. It was for 23bbs, really sucks bc i prob just peel a flop if i have even 2bbs more, but with the flatter who never calls i only need to get by the opener.

600 I busted around 70/560. Another freaking semi bubble, definitely getting annoying. Today was by far my most frustrating day & thats with me even running well in flips. I just literally folded for 6 straight hours. I had these 2 fish with absolute heaps on my left who were just playing atrociously and there just wasnt value even trying to open pf without something decent. My bustout hand i opened a8 on the button 18bbs deep at 1.5-3k and the bb flats kk and owns me on the 822q2 board.

I might possibly skip tmrs 600. Im feeling pretty exhausted & i honestly just kind of want to regroup before sundays 1k. I guess im not gonna set an alarm and if i wake up feeling rested at 1030 or whatever ill head down and play. If i end up sleeping till 3pm ill take a day. Still trying to build my mental endurance i guess you'd call it up. 50/50 right now, if i do skip it will be made up with 1 of the later 400s or 600s near the main event.

Re: Splashthap0ts 2012 vdse/wsop rail

Ended up skipping the 6/9 Venetian 600. I woke up feeling well rested and headed down but saw they only 75 registered at 1210 so i ended up skipping it. So adding another 600 to unused buyins, which ill definitely do my best to add some tourneys in their places.

Cashed the 6/10 rio 1k for $2771. Caught a rush late on day 1 & got up to 50k. Day 2 was just miserable. Pretty much just lost every hand with the nail in the coffin being aq aipf vs 88 and the board coming a3398.

Package A Cashes: $2771
Package B Cashes: $2576
Package B Unplayed Tourneys: $2000

Re: Splashthap0ts 2012 vdse/wsop rail

Played and busted 6/12 Venetian 600, 6/15 Venetian 600 & busted a rio $235 on the 14th.

In the 6/12 venetian i actually made a pretty deep run busting 85th or so out of 560. I honestly just felt off the whole day. I table changed at 1-2k and got to a new table where noone folded and i didnt fire the necessary barrels bc of a lack of reads. Just kind of bad luck but i suppose it's kind of funny i still ran semi deep while feeling quite off my game.

6/14 rio $235. This was a joke but im pretty excited to play some more of these. Good change of pace & I'll definitely be playing as many of these as my lazy ass can on off days.

6/15 Venetian 600
I was opening alot and i probably looked pretty spewy as i kept blanking everything. I got it in with aqss against qq and didnt hit. It was definitely a bit lighter than i normally get it in but we both had the same effective stacks (8.5-9k) and it was lp shenanigans. I definitely dont think it was a great spot, but he seemed somewhat competent and we both had lost alot of our starting stacks, so i dont think he always is completely nutted.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend and the rest of this. The pressure is definitely on for me personally. I've told myself the only way ill try to play the main event is if i grab some solid cashes the next 2 weeks. Otherwise i will be grinding rio 235s and whatnot trying to get us profitable. I'd much rather be crushing the main so the pressure is on and i love it!!!

Re: Splashthap0ts 2012 vdse/wsop rail

Quick update on what I've played(& busted )the past few days.
6/16 Venetian 400...got alot of chips lost set over set & rode the 12-20bb stack for a few levels until i eventually busted
6/17 rio 1k...opened jj lp, button 3bet small, bb flatted with what id imagine was super wide as he was spewy and i sigh shoved 20bbs. Button tank rejams qq and bb snaps ak No clue why the bb doesnt 4b ak here, its basically the best spot u could ever ask for. With just 17.5bbs behind after my open i dont think i can fold after bb flats since his range is wide due to what id previously seen.
6/19 Venetian 600 i guess ill run thru this hand real quick since i did bluff off the tourney. Good mp with heaps opens to 750 at 150-300, russian fish flats button (previously had gotten a3 & limp rr'd/called off a4 for large pots). I 3b ATdd from the sb to 2100, with 9.1k total & a very tight image. I figured it'd be awesome to get it in pf vs the russian and it forces the kid to play pretty straightforward with him behind and my stack size. Surprisingly the good kid flats and russian folds. Flop comes 287 i bet 1.8k & he calls after some thought. Was a bit confused by both the preflop flat & the flop flat. The turn comes a 3 and i check after some time trying to give that yeah i know ur gonna shove & u know im gonna call vibe. Surprisingly he checks back and the river comes a K and i obviously have to shove. His turn check back looks semi trappy but i figure the king is a card that basically puts real pressure on almost all of his hands since alot of my flop barrels just improved. I can shove for value freely and i really dont have any bluffs preflop since the russian was in the pot and i cant 3b 9tss or whatever. I'm also pretty sure hed just bet the turn with anything he felt confident about. He tanks 5 minutes, calls tens and im busto.

6/20 i ended up wanting to mix it up & played the rio 235 instead of what i assumed would be a small venetian field. Never got much going and busted getting kk in preflop vs kj and losing at the 800-1600 level. I'll be adding 365 into unplayed tourneys. I might do this a time or two more, just basically whenever im burnt out on the venetian and ready to mix it up. These 235s are insanely +ev even with the turboish late structure so I'd imagine noone has any problems if i do this again, but if so give me a holler.
