Yesterday, even though I ran poorly, I'm extremely happy with how I played. Ended up busting just after Level 8 after a few hands that were simply unavoidable. My goal is just to play the best I can everyday and not focus on the results. I'll be playing the $250 TD event today at Golden Nugget.

Not much to talk about yesterday in the TD event. Got up to 40k pretty easily then didnt make many draws for the next 3 levels and lots of premium starting hands. Ended up getting my last 8k in in A-5 when I was dealt a pat 6543A and couldnt hold vs 2 card draw. Happy with most of my decisions yesterday. Starting Colossus in about an hour or so.

Quick exit today for me in the Colossus. I played 3 hands (Ak, Aq, Aq) and was out in 2nd level. Final bustout hand was i got in my remaining 3500 on QQ9 with AQ vs Q9 and couldnt improve. It's an extremely fast structure so need to be able to accumulate early to survive. I'll try again tomorrow

Another quick day for me in Colossus. I played 3 significant pots today.

Hand#1:

Folds to sb who raises to 350 @ 50/100 (Stack ~3.5k) I defend bb with K8dd (Stack ~ 7k)

Flop: T84d

sb bets 450 I call.

Turn. 9d

sb bets 750 I shove He calls with T7o and holds.

Hand#2:

Utg+1 raises to 350 @ 75/150/25 CO calls Button calls sb calls and I defend bb with ATo.

Flop: QJ9

Checks to PFR who bets 800 CO shoves for 2200 (This player has been showing down some very bad hands) I reshove 4400 and PFR calls as well. PFR also has AT and short stack had Q6o and holds.

Hand #3:

Very next hand PFR from last hand utg shoves for 2400 and it folds to me in sb and I call all in with AJo bb folds.

PFR shows 89o and board runs out 24TJ7!

Last flight of Colossus will be tomorrow!

A pretty uneventful day for me in the Colossus. Didnt really lose or win any significant pots until I was all in in level 5. Shoved on button over limp with QdJd and ran into bb AKo. Goliath tomorrow at PH.

Another quick exit for me in the Goliath. All happened in this one hand:

I open utg+3 A9dd to 450 at 100/200 Co who has been very loose and aggro calls both blinds call.

Flop A98ss. Checks to me and I bet 900 CO raises to 5500 I jam 19k he snaps with 99. GG!

I think there could be an argument for flatting and playing a turn but vs this exact player I think I like a shove better. I think he can call with a lot worse and hes never folding FD. I thought I was only fading exactly 88 since I block 99 and he never has AA and I beat everything else.

This has been a very frustrating start for me but I've liked most of my decisions in these tournies. Looking forward to trying again tomorrow!

* Got up this morning and my car wouldnt start luckily a friend was playing the same tourney as me and gave me a ride. After I busted I immediately ubered home and tried to jump start my car and it still would not start. I think its the starter and I'm getting it towed now to a mechanic so I hope to have it fixed soon. I dont expect to miss any tournies because of this because worst case I'll just Uber but if for some reason I do I'll let you know asap. Thanks!

Well the good news is we made day 2 of the $1500 HORSE. The bad news is we only have 7 big bets. Hopefully I can run up a stack and make a deep run. I'll obv be skipping the 200k GTD at Golden Nugget so that will be refunded. $565 PLO at WSOP tomorrow no matter what. GL US!

We min cashed the $1500 HORSE for $2316! Happy to get the cash considering how short I was and happy to get my 1st cash of the series out of the way. Gonna try to get some momentum going in the $565 PLO today!

I busted both flights of the PLO yesterday. Cards ran super cold. Milly Maker today!

Venetian $600 Tomorrow

If you follow my twitter updates you'll know that after busting the Milly 2 days ago I decided to play the $1500 8 game mix in place of a few smaller tournies on my schedule. I ended up busting on the final level of day 1 where I took a 30k+ stack on last break and basically lost every pot after that on the worst stud runouts. Super happy with how I played all day and thought I really played great. I took yesterday off because honestly I needed a day to myself to mentally prepare for the next tournament. Playing for 15+hours and ending the way that it ended I would not have done well playing yesterday. I will be playing today as I feel much much better and ready to start making more deep runs. I got the Venetian $600 400k GTD today! GL US!

Another frustrating day. I was pretty card dead all day today and lost 2 crucial pots to go out.

Hand#1: UTG raises to 500 @100/200/25 2 players call I call button with Qh9h.

Flop J67hh. Checks around to me and I bet 900 UTG player raises to 3150 folds back to me and I call.

Turn Qx. He bets 7k (I have 11k behind) and I fold after tanking for several minutes. I'm actually not too sure about this one. I think his range is pretty heavily weighted towards sets in this spot as I dont think he is checking KK in multiway pot (its possible he plays AA this way). If he has a set I'm not getting the correct price and if he has an overpair I'm getting almost exactly the right price. Also, He may even play hands like AKhh this way as well as 78hh type hands but I felt like he would not be check raising those hands too often. I like my decision to fold.

Hand #2 is pretty straight forward. UTG+2 (who just lost huge pot and was clearly steaming) opens to 1100 @250/500/75 2 players call I have 17bb with 99 OTB and shove UTG+2 player snap shoves and has 9h7h.

Board runs out KQ68T!

As terribly as I'm running right now I'm just trying to stay focused on playing great and I feel like I'm doing that. Trying not to let results affect me but I have to be honest its starting to get to me a little. I feel like I'm doing a lot of things right so I'm just gonna continue to make good decisions and hope for the best.

Next tourny is 2-7 TD at PH tomorrow. One of my best games so hopefully I can make a deep run! I'll just keep plugging away and hopefully something great happens soon!

Busted fairly quickly in the goliath stack at PH in this hand:

Very active guy raises utg+2 to 550 @100/200/25 another player calls and I 3 bet to 1850 with QQ on button he utg+2 player 4 bets to 5400 I call(~ 35k to start the hand).

Flop: QT4dd. He bets 5k I raise to 14k he shoves and I call. He has AA and got the A J runout!

Kinda been the story of my summer been im going to keep fighting! I have a day off tomorrow then 8 game mix at GN on Friday.

Played 8 game mix yesterday and was cruising until blinds shot up and lost huge pot with 234 in stud8 then got the rest in in plo with AK97ds vs AQ98 and couldnt hold. Structure is so bad and fast in these low limit mixed games I'm gonna think twice about playing these next year.

After I busted that I immediately went to reg the giant at rio. Built up a stack pretty early but made a few mistakes and in the end I ended up busting in back to back hands. 99<AJ then 77<A9 for 18bb.

Gonna play Venetian 800k GTD today! Hopefully I can find a bag in this one.

Busted Venetian yesterday. Put myself in a spot where I went for it and was wrong.

Co opens to 500 @100/200/25 I 3 bet on Button to 1400 with 69dd Co calls.

Flop Q45d. I bet 1100 he calls.

Turn 3d. He checks I bet 3k he calls.

River 8c. He checks I shove 11k He calls with 33.

Once he calls flop and turn I think he can have hands like QT, QJ, KQ and hands like 66-TT. Given what I've seen from the player I expect him to fold everything on river except maybe KQ ( Hes probably folding even KQ given that he tanked with 33 in this spot). All in all I like my line as its really hard for him to find a hand to call with on this river. Try again today!

Played 500k GTD at PH yesterday and bagged 178k going to day 2! With roughly 30bb hopefully I can get off to a good start and make a deep run at this thing. Since I made Day 2 I will have to cancel both the $1500 Stud 8 and the $585 HORSE ( If I bust early in the day I'll go play the HORSE). Not sure about prizepool info or how close we are to $ yet since there is still a flight to be played today. I'll post on twitter as soon as I know. GL US!

Ended up Cashing for $1039 in the 500k today. Not thrilled about result but very happy with all of my decisions today. Toying with the idea of playing the 3k HORSE tomorrow since I missed $1500 Stud 8 and $585 Horse today ( Would also sub $570 horse tom and the 6 $150 bullets for 100k at GN on Friday which would equal =$3555).

I played 3k HORSE Yesterday and it was going really well for first 4 levels as I was steadily grinding chipping up to about 23k then in 2 levels I went broke in a bunch of hands where I had 2nd best hands including losing to 2 outers twice. Its been the story of my summer really. Next up for me is the monster stack. Still got some chances for deep runs lets make em count!
