Registered and ready to go for Day 1C tomorrow. I will likely turn my phone off during the day so I may not update after each level, but I will definitely update at the end of each day. More regular updates will be on Twitter @Coasterbrad if I do keep my phone on. Thank you to everyone who bought action, I'm so ready to make us all some money!

^Thanks GolfPro!

Bagged 29,100 at the end of Day 1. Rough day, I'm exhausted. I'll post a recap with some more details tomorrow.

Day 1 Recap

As I mentioned above, Day 1 was a bit rough. It started out nice when we won the first hand, raising out of the sb and getting a fold from the bb. We may have actually been the chip leader for a brief moment. I made some playable hands during level 1 and thought the table would cooperate in making Day 1 easy.

75/150
SB opens 350, I call BB KQss
Flop ($700) KdJd2c
SB 400, I call
Turn ($1500) 2s
SB check, I 600, SB calls
River ($2700) 2d
SB check, I 1300, SB calls

That guy then became incredibly tight and didn't get involved in any other hands. That was also the best hand we made all day. I didn't make better than one pair after that. Unfortunately we did flop a lot of big draws that cost us some chips. The rest of the table was made up of robot grinders and one other recreational player. I am not exaggerating when I say that not a single word was spoken the entire day other than poker action (raise, call, etc.). It was just a miserable table of mute grinders and the two fish didn't speak any English. Meanwhile the table next to us had Scotty Nguyen getting everyone shots and beers and gambling on red/black flops. At least we made it through the day and have 48 big blinds to start Day 2 on Wednesday.

I looked up my table dray for Day 2. Table 93. And it looks like another tough table. Everyone has significant Hendon profiles, many with $200k+ in cashes and one with $1.8m. Plan for the day is to play snug and hopefully find some good spots to chip up. It would help immensely if I can find some good starting hands and connect with flops.

Feeling good, excited to get back at it tomorrow!

As the money bubble is about to burst I wish I could be updating this to say we've made money. Unfortunately we busted on Day 2. Just never had any opportunity to win significant pots. Never made better than one pair after level one which made it difficult, and eventually jammed 88 in the HJ and ran in to the BTN with AA.

Thanks again to all of you who invested and/or sent me messages. It was awesome to finally play this and I know I'll be back for another shot next year.
