Starting now. I've got a huge whale that I played with at the Barcelona high roller at my table. The other 5 are all pros and all but one I've of them I've played with before.
New table. Unfortunately Isaac Haxton, who I think is one if the top 5 Holdem players in the world is across the table from me. Two amateurs are at the table as well, one of whom is hedge fund manager Paul Newey
I've run pretty card dead for the last 2 hours and got down to 8k at one point. My image is super tight.
I had an interesting hand vs Paul Newey where he raised to 2.5bb from the small blind and I called in the big blind with Q8o leaving myself with only 11 big blinds. The flop is qc6c4. He bets 2.5bb, I call. Turn is an off suit 9, he checks and I bet 2 big blinds, leaving myself with only 6.3bb left, hoping that he'll check raise a flush draw or a worse pair. The river pairs the queen he leads out 2.5bb and I shove all in. He thinks and then calls me with king high...hoping I was on a busted draw.
I ran my stack up to 30k but never got above there. I ended getting down to 12k before getting all in for 10bb with 88 vs AK and losing the flip. I took a little break, surveyed the field with a friend and then decided that it was still worthwhile to reenter with 40 bb in level 9.
Dan Colman, super high roller extraordinaire, sat directly on my left and cold 4bet all in from the big blind after I three bet the button from the small blind. I called and won with AQ vs his KQs to get up to 160k.
I lost a few small pots and am now down to 117k. Avg is 216k and we are 17 people from the money
Busted in 31st with 77<ATo for 14 big blinds 8 people from the money. Thanks to everyone who invested and commented itt. Next stop is Macau in two weeks and then Prague in December. If any of you want to buy action for my main events or high rollers at those two locations, lmk itt or via pm.
