I came across a Barry Sanders signed football so if anyone is interested give me your best offer. I don't have a picture but if you google or look on ebay for them, it looks identical, signature in the big silver marker.

The certificate of authenticity is from Schwartz Sports(who Barry has an exclusive contract with) and has a picture of Barry signing a jersey, I assume this picture was taken the same day he signed the football as usually those pictures are of the same product that is signed. The certificate and the ball have the matching holograms.

If anyone is interested, I'll go get it and take another look at it, see if it has any #s on it or anything if you need more information, get a picture and all that good stuff.

I want this badly. Barry is my favorite player and I'm a huge Lions fan. The problem is I have no idea what something like this goes for as I'm not into sports memorabilia.

I'll throw $150 out there for the moment.

Are you guys trying to blatantly deceive prospective buyers, or do you just assume that the asking price dictates the market? The cheapest "Buy It Now" on eBay is $250. Oddly enough, no one will "Buy It Now." Try checking completed listings for the items that actually sold, and that will give you a better idea of what the true market is.

I can sign my name on a football and put it on eBay with a "Buy It Now" price of $250. That doesn't mean it's worth that much. It's like when people try to sell tickets on Craigslist and say, "Just look what they're going for on Stubhub." What they don't tell you is that they're not "going" for their list prices. They're just sitting there in overpriced limbo.

Yeah thats what I'm trying to do, give me a break. Not sure why you can't just come on here and list the prices of completed auctions instead of trying to make me and others looks like we are lying *******s, but whatever.

I saw completed listings going anywhere from $60 to $80, there were 3 or 4 of them I believe. I don't know what type of footballs they had them on though, this is a real nice official football, I tried looking for them online and couldn't find one and gave up. If anyone wants to still make an offer, as in not $80, thats fine, but I guess I'll just end up putting it in a charity auction next week.

And do you consider these posts to be really helpful?

I can go in any thread and say "hai guize too much" as well.

We all appreciate people looking out for others here in the Marketplace, but at the same time, there's a need to be responsible about it. Why are you going off on people for their estimates when you're not willing to provide any yourself?

Yes. When a poster doesn't put an asking price, and the first person to jump in with a market range inflates the value approximately 300-500%, I think the input is helpful.

Second, I didn't provide the dollar range directly because I figured I would throw a small bone to the OP by not pointing out the $45-80 ranges. I provided the source for finding the true market value, and if anyone is too lazy to click the link, then it's OP's lucky day.

We went through this song and dance when another poster lied about the source of his iPods. It's one thing to derail a thread by taking it off-topic. It's quite another to call a seller out for misinformation, whether the dubious info is intentional or not. If you have a soft spot for snake-oil salesmen, then I apologize. Carry on...

OP just throw out a number you'd begin considering. $175, 200???? I offered $150 and didn't hear anything and you didn't name an asking price so it seems like this is an auction which as far as I know isn't encouraged in this forum but I could be wrong.

Name your price, if there's no offers sell/donate it elsewhere. I do agree $45-80 is way too low considering it's an official ball.

I would say your 150 dollar offer is legit, i would say 60 80 is plenty, but that is an official nfl football...
Gl with your sales

I didn't say anything back on that $150 initially as I was waiting on what you guys said after I put the pictures up and since the one poster came in and said everything was way too much. I did find the football itself online selling anywhere from $60-$100, sears had it for $69.99 so this is def a nice football. So since I have that information now, I'm going to leave it up another day or two.
