I came to your defense on the price of this monitor with no ties to you or anyone else in this thread.

You're in the wrong OP. You had to give the guy a reasonable amount of time once you agreed and you shouldn't keep shopping for a better price w/o giving the buyer a chance.

After giving him notice and a reasonable time limit to find an escrow or whatever, then you can reshop it for whatever you can get.

The "trolls" are part of the reason the system works -- they monitor the conduct of the people in the forum and generally (generally, not universally) drive things in the right direction for the betterment of this little micro-society village of ours.

I agree that I should have given him more time to find an escrow. That was my fault and I apologize for that. I've never used an escrow for anything before so I didn't really understand the process.

Ok, I will rescind my offer for now. IamPro, you can have it if you still want. I will wait for your response. If you do not want it anymore though, then I am next in line. Can any Mod escrow on stars?

If we can get a escrow I'll still take it, anyone willing to escrow that is a MOD?

im glad i didn't win the "bid", I offered op 800 on stars and he said someone has offered better price. doesn't look like OBO to me, more like an actual ebay bid. good luck with those who are dealing w/ the op.

I bought a monitor from OP off eBay and had zero trouble. I can't help but wonder if he doesn't understand what "asking price" and "or best offer mean" and thus the discussion that has taken place.

If OP agrees to sell to IamPro at the amount IamPro offered, I'll do the escrow.

The confusion has been cleared up and IamPro is looking for a suitable escrow.

I've Pm'd every MOD I know and can't find anyone, Idk what you want to do but if you want to send first I have tons of refs from here and from the Person to Person transfer forum (done several $500+ transfers and a few 1k transfers) or have someone escrow that isn't a MOD but is pretty trustworthy I'm up for that.

Glad this appears to have worked out. I don't think that OP was trying to do anything too bad, just didn't understand the meaning of "OBO" and clearly was too stubborn to back down from his position. I'm sure Zima has done a little research on his name and found him ok, so GL to all of you and I hope this turns out well.
