Camera Model: EOS 50d

Approximate age of Body: Purchased new in June 2009

Body Condition: 9.5/10. The only blemish I can find is a thin hairline scratch on the top LCD (detailed in photos). The battery grip shows very light use on the non-shutter button side, which is unnoticeable unless you're looking for it in the right light

Number of Shutter actuations: Do not know precisely, if there is a way to check on a Mac let me know. The counter has rolled over once, my best guess puts it somewhere between 13,000 and 16,000 shots.

Sale Includes: 50d, Canon BG-E2n grip (w/ box, battery tray, paperwork), two aftermarket batteries, one Canon battery, all paperwork, cables, CDs, etc, all untouched sans the manual which I flipped through a few times.

Price: $915 shipped via paypal. Local pickup is fine too, I'm in Northern California and would drive as far as Sacramento or Reno/Carson. Also open to sensible offers.

Payments Accepted: Paypal, bank transfer

Shipping Methods Available (Ships From): 96145, CA, USA, USPS Priority with tracking and insurance

Shipping Available To: CONUS

Item location: Northern CA (Tahoe area)

Best Contact Method: PM

Feedback: Numerous high dollar sales here without a problem

Reason for selling: Need to fund 1d Mark III

Mike how does this compare to something like a D40, for a sort-of novice someone with very light commercial uses? Any special extras that would mean much?

The 50d will have a faster frame rate (6 frames per second), more resolution (15.1mp vs 6mp) a much better screen that is visible in daylight, weather sealing, a magnesium alloy body with much better ergomics, and much better performance in low light. the 50d will also focus so much faster due to the 9 focus points, all of which are sensitive to contrast in both directions, compared to the nikon's 3, which are not.

also, the d40 requires lenses with a built in focus motor, which keeps you pretty much buying cheap lenses. the 50d will accept any EF or EF-s mount lens without any issue, which is great if you want to upgrade lenses.

i'm pretty sure of all those points - i'm not a nikon aficionado but i think i got all of them.

It look exactly the same to me???

This is body only. Cameras are often sold without lenses because they're interchangeable.
