isn't the Aug better? The famas pulls to the right pretty hard when you fire and the aug tends to hold on target or pull slightly up. I think having the recoil pull up towards the head instead of off the target works better, but thats just me. fwiw my k/d with the aug is 2.58 and with the famas it's like 2.28. My kd with the G11 is the highest (almost 3) but thats another story.

Ya for some reason I like the AUG's recoil better it just feels heavier and less likely to go hogwild on me, plus even tho the irons are close I love the AUG's irons but hate the Famas'. I also have a slightly higher KD with the AUG over the Famas. I generally stop using the famas once I unlock the AUG.

just going by numbers no the AUG doesn't really have any advantage over the FAMAS, obviously guns will feel different for everyone though so use whatever works best...i personally prefer the FAMAS over the AUG

I like the AUG better than the Famas. I pretty much feel the same way as demon. AUG just has a better feel to me. Famas feels too loose. I played with both last night.

If you're going to use the AUG then I think Scavenger is an absolute must.

I also used the Commando for the first time last night and that gun is going to compete with the AUG.

Other than that I don't know. I used to love the Enfield, then the Galil, but that all changed when I used the AUG. I'm not a huge fan of the AK74u. I've used the AUG too much to change to a SMG now.

Maybe some day I'll experiment with the other guns and end up liking them all. Just like in MW2 I used the UMP so much, then I went to the ARs, then fell in love with the Tar. I miss that gun. Then loved the Uzi. Then found OMA.

I switched to the Galil today because I was getting frustrated by all the assists I was getting with the FAMAS, and it seemed to help a bit. I will try the AUG out a bit more the next time I play. I used to use it a lot but haven't really used it much since 5th or 6th prestige. And dual mags makes Scavenger unnecessary. I would love to use the Commando with dual mags but the irons do not seem to work well for me. Maybe I will give it another go soon.

Mika Id recommend rocking warlord with the galil and adding the silencer to it. Its already accurate and it gets better when u dont have muzzle flash to deal with at long range. I think the galil is my best KD weapon over a big sample just cuz its so great with the silencer.

I've tries that setup with the fam/uag and its just not at the same level.

I don't notice a problem with muzzle flash on the Galil and that gun is pretty slow to reload without SoH. Plus that's my Juggernaught class (ie. my goto tryhard class) so the fast ADS is very important to me. I tried WLP on my AR classes for an entire prestige but I did not wind up liking it much. I missed SoH too much and none of the extra attachments seemed necessary.

I dont know what it is but when I rock that class I automatically play a longer range game. I think its cuz the gun seems so damn long and I know it sucks at cqc that I just take my time with this class. When Im rocking a famaug class I go into rush mode almost automatically cuz I just use those guns like smgs. I wish I was the same way with the lmgs and burst weapons cuz for some reason it doesnt click and I can end up rushing with these guns which is lol horrible.




edti: Just thought of something: 1 thing that Ive noticed tho is when Im rocking soh I tend to go into rush mode and dont take my time which ends up with me making mistakes. It reminds me when I play poker and play to many tables and I get into a frantic rushed state and dont think my actions thru I tend to make a ton of mistakes. I rock warlord I tend to take my time and have time to make decisions while reloading and considering conserving my ammo. I think this and the silencer is why I have a higher KD on the galil. I might have to just stop rocking soh altogether since I seem to make more thought out decisions and produces better results.

Do you rock the rds on the ps3 too? I find that all the optics just have to much glare and that if I cant use the irons I just cant use the gun except in a few cases like the m16 where its just so much better with it. With the optics there are a lot of times Im not really sure if Im shooting directly on target cuz of all the glare.

Which perks do you use for the setup?

there is def a stronger glare on the ps3 , so i understand if it bothers u that much then i guess u cant use it . I feel im a stronger player on the ps3 than i am on the xbox bc i like the controller so so so so so much more , and ive used a blue dot famas all the way to almost level 50 . I have no problem aquiring targets thru the extra glare its just annoying , but seems like a fair trade for the accuracy and ease of aiming imo !

I think this is valid. It's like the Marathon concept. I barely use it anymore, because I shouldn't be sprinting so much.

One of the Reddit guys made a statement this week that struck me as very true: This game is like golf. It's easy to pick up bad habits that get out of control and absolutely destroy your results, but it's difficult to identify when you're in the middle of one of these cycles. The best way to get out of a slump is to break down your swing, and start over with the basics.

If SOH puts you in rush mode when you shouldn't be, then I believe it's a practice of good self awareness not to use it.

Ya Ive messed around with a few 2nd perks and am digging steady aim right now. Its especially useful with the slower weapons like the galil that just suck at hip firing. To bad I just suck at thsi game now lol.

I have become nearly as reliant on dual mags as I have on SoH. When I run no dual mags I just find myself out of ammo way sooner than I am expecting to. I ran out of ammo in a SnD round yesterday and was like 'oh ****'
