Pretty sure the logic "we can't bet because we can't bet/call" is wrong. I know you're not here to coach and I know you were going to use that as a reason to not explain yourself. But villain is a whale. Whale calls with a lot worse but probably doesn't shove worse. Hence bet/fold river. With that being said, just cause it's tilting doesn't mean it's not the best option.

But maybe I misunderstand you or fail to see the logic in your post.

Nah I have to disagree here, villain is a whale and he has a lot of worse hands so we HAVE to bet the river, now when he shoves we might have to fold, but then again whales do spazz out ALOT, so its a very tough spot. However I never think we should check the river

Enjoy the thread, good work ethic and great results. A few questions:

    1) What's your state of mind when you play? Do you feel you consistently put in your A+ game every session?

    2) You seem to balance University and Poker very well. How do you find/manage the time to put in 7 hours a day of the online grind? Do you play 1 hour session 15min break, 2 hour sessions 20 min break? Do you chunk up your session play?

    3) What do you do for your off table homework? Do you plug away at your database? Review videos?

    4) Any tips/ suggestions for someone that has only sleep to occupy 7 hours of their day, the rest of the 17 hours to them selves for the next 6 months? How do you find the willing and drive to put in XX amount of hours per week at the tables?

    Cheers mate

    1) What's your state of mind when you play? Do you feel you consistently put in your A+ game every session?

It really depends on the day, some days I will be feeling very good and playing well and others I won't. But I definatly dont always play my A+ game every session, I guess the trick is the make your C game a winning game.

    2) You seem to balance University and Poker very well. How do you find/manage the time to put in 7 hours a day of the online grind? Do you play 1 hour session 15min break, 2 hour sessions 20 min break? Do you chunk up your session play?

At the moment I don't have uni so I can play whenever I want. However when uni starts I usually prioritise my uni work and my social life and then I play with whatever time I have left.

    3) What do you do for your off table homework? Do you plug away at your database? Review videos?

Not enough I guess, I do speak to a couple of regs but thats about it.

    4) Any tips/ suggestions for someone that has only sleep to occupy 7 hours of their day, the rest of the 17 hours to them selves for the next 6 months? How do you find the willing and drive to put in XX amount of hours per week at the tables?

I think its important to have a balanced life, even if you want to play alot make sure to do other stuff. For my I go 4x per week to the gym and 2x per week to mma gym, and I prioritise my social life before poker. When poker becomes an obsession and the only thing you do I think that becomes a detriment to your life. You have to make sure to balance everything well imo.
    Cheers mate

in 5 days it will be the end of my first "month" since I came back, I will do an update then. Pretty happy with how I picked up with my game and how things are going even if its been almost 1 week where I'm running pretty mehhh, but thats fine .

Started to look into 6max, although won't start transitioning until I build a much bigger role, so prolly in 1-2 months. Btw, can you zoom 6max guys tell me how many hands you get 4 tabling? and 6 tabling? Thanks !

I haven't played much these last few days, I geuss this breakeven stretch got to me. However I am pretty happy with how things went since I came back. I came back on August 16th, and I had the idea on my mind to log at least 300 hours in the next 30 days. Things didnt go according to plan, a lot of my friends started coming back earlier then expected, and I just didnt feel like putting in so many hours anymore. Out of the 30 days I think I played around 22ish days, maybe less, and I am happy with where my game is at right now.

Uni will be starting very soon, and by then all of my friends will be back, and poker will have to go on stanby for a while. I also got into mma, and will start training alot, and I dont know how much I will be able to play till the end of the year. My guess would be 80 hours per month max, unless something changes. But I am happy with that, I don't depend on poker as an income and play it mostly out of love for the game. I will have ONE major goal though starting now till January first, and that will be one which won't really be in my control, but the goal is to make $20,000 , for the simple reason that if I do succeed, I will do everything I can to transition to 6max in 2015 and do it right this time.

I will still update this but probably less now, and I would like to thank everyone who has been following this thread. Much love

Anyways, here is the graph since I came back on august 16th.

160 hours total (so much less then the 300hours I was shooting for )
