Why do you have to post under two accounts in this thread?

Was going to stay longer but Jon_Locke showed up in the game and didn't want him taking my profit plus more.

Although I can confidently brag that I am up like 3 full whole bets on him lifetime now. *Fistpump*

DesertCat was there too, so with them both in the same game...definitely not a good game to be in at all!

For those of you in the Phoenix area who like BBQ, you definitely have to go to this joint that puts out competition style BBQ from Nebraska called "Pork on a Fork." Stopped in here for the first time the other day for lunch when driving around, and absolutely the best ribs I have ever had by a longshot. Was completely impressed.

Was definitely making the same noises that Randy made in the Food Network South Park episode, throughout my meal.

It is across the street from the Deer Valley airport around the 17 and 101. Kind of far up north.

Alright so here is a hand from today that I thought I played really well.

3 limps, SB completes, hero raises black AA in big blind. Everyone calls.

Flop: Qd 8h 3d

Check, hero bets, everyone calls.

Turn: 5h

SB, checks, Hero checks (hoping someone bets and felt someone was going to), gets checked through.

River: Jh

Sb checks, hero checks, and checks thru.

Hero scoops the pot.

Flame away...

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw the ribs. What an awful pairing lol. It's like when the hot chick stands next to the ugly bestie for pictures to appear even hotter than usual :/.

As for the posted hand. I think going for the check-raise turn is some serious FPS. I'd rather just bet turn, and probably bet/fold river (without knowing if villains are capable of raise bluffing river or not).

I don't know what FPS means.

I don't think the river check was terrible. I would agree it was bad. Jh wasn't that great of a card at all on that board.

FPS = Fancy Play Syndrome. Overthinking things or assigning a higher level of thinking to the villain than they're actually on.

When you bet the turn, you're going to either get 1 or 3 bets (assuming someone raises top pair on the turn). By checking, you lock yourself into 0 or 2 bets unless you're beat.

You won the pot so you must have played it great. Why do you only post hands where you started with a premium hand preflop?

Noted.

There weren't really any interesting hands today. So decided to just post the one that I played really really bad.

Also, I know people want to see hand histories, but I don't know if I should be posting interesting hands with the result or without the result like in SSL & MSL.

I would think this thread is more for entertainment than strategy so I think you should post results.

I assumed you checked river going for check raise (which I think is reasonable given turn mistake).

There should be more interesting hands than this every session IMO.

I think u should post hand histories in this thread, but separately from results.

Also, try and note hands as they happen so u can post histories with greater accuracy.

You also might want to contact Locke if u need help with grammar and spelling.

Maybe put the results in spoilers bec there are readers that don't play limit and would like to see them right away. Plus we can go back and check them when we want to.

+ many to posting the non-premium hands.

I don't know if people ever have a check raising range in this spot, but if I did, I think I would put AA in it.
