Poker Goals & Plan for 2013
Stage 1
Im starting with $750 and Ill be playing PLO30 until Ive reached $1.800 and being rolled for a 10 buyin shot at PLO60/75. If my shot attempt failes, I move back down and grind the 10 buyins again.
Stage 2
Taking a successfull shot at PLO60/75 and grow the roll to a total of 50 buyins for PLO75 ($3.750). Once Im there, I will grow my roll to $5.250 at PLO75 and take a 10 buyin shot at PLO150.
Stage 3
If my shot is successfull, I will keep playing PLO150 until I have 60 buyins ($9.000). After that, I will grind 10 buyins for PLO230 for a total of $11.300 and go for the next level.
Stage 4
I will stick to PLO230 until I got 75 buyins ($17.250) and then Ill get working on the next 10 buyin shot, which will be at PLO300.
Stage 5
At this point Im looking to have 83 buyins for PLO300 ($25.000), so if the shot is working out, I will be looking to be playing at this level a bit.
Stage 6
PLO460 is the next level and I will require 100 buyins ($46.000) to be considered grinding this stake.
Stage 7
Last and final stage is PLO600, which will require a roll of 200 buyins ($120.000) of me to be regular at this level.
Estimated time: ~1 year.
-----------------------------
This all sounds easy but it wont be. Im required to:
- Be playing tons and tons of hands
- Be active whenever the best value is there, day or night
- Sacrifice social activities
- Maintain a relationship with my girlfriend
- Study/play in a ratio of 1:3
- Be very honest with my game and to myself
This thread will be somewhat of a core of my poker. Its here where Ill be posting my daily schedules. I will also post reviews of articles/books/videos Ill be watching. I will also have daily "homework" which I will post and report back after the day is over. Im also currently working on building a network of similar minded people who will boost my learning curve and help me out whenevers needed.
I also think its important to know why you want something. If you dont have good enough reasons, you wont follow trough when it gets tough. A vision board helps keeping me focused and make sure I stay on the right track every day. So I will also spend alot of time on the mental aspects of the game.
This is what I want with my poker for the coming year, and since im too excited to wait 1 week, Im starting tomorrow (24th december) Hope you guys will follow me on this climb and see how it works out. Merry christmas!
