Me again. For those who aren't familiar with my first PG&C thread about Saving to Buy a House via Poker, go here:

There's a lot of my background in both poker and life in there as well but I'll give you some of the Cliff's:

-Christian
-Married (survived a near divorce in 2013)
-Father of 2 (just had our second boy in Feb.)
-Live in a Texas suburb
-Have a master's degree in creative advertising
-IT manager for major bank by day
-Bovada NL 200 grinder by night
-Over 100k in earnings playing poker part time over last 10 years
-Made ~20k last year to use as down payment for house
-Moved into new house near end of last year
-Up $9k so far this year
-Currently on 3 month paid paternity leave

I don't really have any specific monetary goals this time except just making extra money to make improvements on our house and purchase various furnishings. Here are a few of the things we're wanting to do:

-Remodel master bathroom completely
-Re-stain kitchen cabinets
-New backsplash in kitchen
-Remove carpeting in study and stain the concrete
-Replace all gold hardware with stainless steel hardware throughout house
-Get cushions for patio furniture

We're also wanting to save up for a summer beach vacation and/or a winter skiing vacation.

Here was a somewhat interesting hand from the session. Guy had raised my blind literally 100% of the time so we had been battling a good amount. The guy bailed me out by not getting it in on the flop although i'm pretty sure i'm not folding still with the nut flush draw.

Finished up $800 for the night/early morning in about a 4.5 hour session.

Oh yeah, had to take my car in today and found out I have 900$ worth of repairs/maintenance I need to do. So basically that's what I won tonight.

I watched one of his streams the other day and was very surprised with how little he communicated about his poker decisions during it. Maybe I just caught him on a off night.

Do you find good action at the $200 games in the mornings around 7-10 Mountain Standard time? I usually play most of my sessions in the morning, but figured I would have to move to evenings when/if I start to move into low/mid stakes.

That's odd. He normally gives analysis during and/or after the hand. I only caught it one night but he said he will be on there often.

I stay up late u til about 3 or 4am CST and sleep in during the mornings

So can't really comment on the action then. I imagine it would be nitty w college students and retirees.

I guess it is the difference in employer, but I am surprised it isn't the reverse.

Sounds like you need to have a sitdown. If she is serious, you will need to come up with a plan with goals (build up savings, pay down debt) to transition her to stay-at-home mom as I am guessing you will need her to go back to work for some period of time.

She also needs to learn how to fix things around the house. If she is going to stay at home, that should be one of her responsibilities.

Will try to post more. It's been rare as of late to find anything that wasn't somewhat standard or just really bad on the villain's part. Don't want to bore everyone with set over tp/tk or coolers, etc. But I'll keep looking.

I work for a major corporation and she works for a really small business. So that's mainly why it is that way. I'm happy they'll let her take 3 months off and still hold her job for her though.

We've already discussed it some. It is a simply matter of finances and we can't afford for her not to work. I would prefer that she stays home with the kids if money wasn't an issue.

Thanks Urban!!! I'm playing the same stakes and my win rate isn't even close to urs, so it's nice to see how you play certain hands. I see that ur vip is higher then me but all the other stats are pretty simular. 3bet doesn't seem too outa line and ur cbet isn't 100% like some regs I see. Thanks again!!
