Yeah bet fold the turn. It's close though x/c isnt so bad, but I just like to keep the betting lead so we can bet a decent size on the river if we fill up too.
If we bet the turn we x/f a 2d river, because we are betting the turn to get value from two pair, top pair hands etc, and most 25nl players won't be capable of turning made hands into bluffs if we check to them, but neither will they call a river bet with worse on a 4 straight board.
Pre-flop I isolate the limper with a big raise because I am OOP and have a good hand and want to get value from his weak range. The BB cold calls which is a bit surprising but he also has fishy stats so I still expect to be ahead.
The flop is obviously great for me. I bet around 2/3, the bb calls and the limper min-raises. This obviously screams that he has KJ, but he could possibly have two pair or just playing really bad with worse. I did think for a short time about whether I should just get the money in the flop, expecting to be behind a decent amount but still have OK odds to hit my full house.
When the turn gets checked through, I obviously think I have the best hand but then he raises. I think I definitely need to fold this river. This is one of my leaks I need to fix, calling on the river when it is close to 100% I am beat but I persuade myself to call because they are a fish and I am getting 5:1
Results: $71.10 pot ($2 rake)
Final Board: Q T A 3 4
Hero showed T T and lost (-$31.75 net)
BB mucked and lost (-$7.60 net)
UTG+2 showed K J and won $69.10 ($37.35 net)
This next hand is definitely a spot where I am a bit uncertain.
To me the Zoom games at 25nl can be really tight pre-flop, here UTG is a decent semi-tight 21/16 reg and the UTG+1 is a relatively unknown player but tight stats over 20 or so hands.
In this spot I think if I cold 4bet I really am only getting action from AA so I just call, hoping that they have worse and I can get paid post-flop. I am not sure what I would do if UTG came back over the top here, to be honest I would probably fold.
I just check call the flop and when it gets to the turn I really don't know if it is a profitable situation for me. Basically I am praying for him to have QQ but honestly expect AA more often.
Am I thinking too much about these spots here? It just seems I see AA in these situations so regularly and nothing else.
In this hand I am in the bb and the btn who I view as a standard reg 22/18, opening 53% of btns. SB I have as 33/13 over 15 hands so I suspect him to be somewhat fishy.
I think this is a standard squeeze spot for me here, to get the btn to fold most of his weak range and to get value from the sb and play a pot HU with position on him.
I bet the flop for value, expecting to get called by any pair or gutshot.
I decide to check the turn to control the pot a bit as I don't think I can get 3 streets of value from worse, my plan is to bet most rivers for value if checked to. Maybe I should bet again here for protection?
He shoves the river quickly, my instant gut reaction is I need to call. It really seemed like he was going to be bluffing as I checked back the turn so he probably wouldn't expect me to be very strong and he can steal the pot.
I don't know if calling was a mistake here but I feel ok about it.
The villain here was again relatively unknown, 38/31 over 13 hands.
I think I played this OK, expect him to have worse some of the time and also to do it with hands like he has, which I am actually in decent shape against.
I do not have too much info on the villain, but over 77 hands he has got fairly aggressive stats and is playing 27/23.
I think set mining here with position is fine, especially with the deep stacks.
The flop I hit my 6 but it is also a 3 diamond board so I decide not to raise the flop. His turn check raise really threw me out, I decide to just call and decide what to do on the river.
Would like to hear what anybody has to say about this hand.
Going to post this hand just because I am still a bit unsure about my FR play. I guess this would be a standard line against an unknown player (just had 8 hands against him at 17/17, no auto rebuy may suggest fish)
I don't usually make it 4x UTG but my laptop or internet was lagging and I just got the raise in before timed out
Get flatted from CO who is 28/13 AF 2.5 over 42 hands and fishy passive 33/8 guy shoves his last 40bb.
I am happy to get my JJ in against the shortish stack even though he is pretty passive so probably at least reasonably strong. Should I just shove it pre?
When the CO clicks it back I am very confused! Obviously 100bb deep I will just be getting it all in but I have to think longer now. I think I am either going to see AA or something random like this. Looking back I think folding is bad but I was just too scared to run in to AA nearly 200bb deep.
Preflop: Hero is UTG with J J
Hero raises to $1, MP folds, CO calls $1, BTN raises to $9.50 and is all-in, 2 folds, Hero calls $8.50, CO raises to $18, Hero folds
Flop: ($28.85) 6 4 4 (2 players, 1 is all-in) Turn: ($28.85) 5 (2 players, 1 is all-in) River: ($28.85) T (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $28.85 pot ($1.30 rake)
Final Board: 6 4 4 5 T
BTN showed A A and won $27.55 ($18.05 net)
CO showed T Q and lost (-$9.50 net)
