Totally this (and well played Oiser)

Today's goals:

Quote:
1. 30 minutes exercise bike.
2. Below net calorie goal for the day.
3. 30 minutes uni work (I've been so awful the past two days I want to make it seem easier to achieve).
4. 1.5k hands.
5. Write article.
6. Review Barti's video.
Solid day! Also had a coaching session with hardin, who's improving very quickly, which is nice to see. Ran under EV at the tables but still profited so I can't complain. Hands:

1) Villain is a nitreg. With the fish in the pot on the flop and his sizing I honestly think he has AQ+ here too often to call river. Felt like such a nit though.

probably x back the 89, we cant really value jam a river (unless heart or 9), im yet to see people xjam draws here (AQhh etc, much more likely to barrel it) and i dont think he has any worse he wants to xc (maybe occasional 66/77,56s)
Quote

Thanks. Probably should've mentioned that he was restealing 40% over my sample (like 8/20) - does this affect anything?

btw, hadn't seen you at the tables for a while until today, how's it going?
Quote

i mean in game i prob bet then instantly regret it. i just don't see what hands he can xc (which we beat) and i don't think we induce light jams. plus the fact we don't actually have the odds to call off a jam vs OPs means we could be making a huge mistake b/cing

very good, just playing some 50 because i was trying to book the month (was a few thousand FPPs away from bonus which is when im splitting with my staker so didn't want to ruin the good month ). doing very well recently, just got to get some more volume in then hopefully 200z awaits. hope 50z is going well for you, hit me up on skype anytime if you like (same as my SN).

Check back turn, don't know what you're really trying to get value from ( like 56, 66, 77 ?)/ smallish bet doesn't really achieve much at all. Wouldn't fold TPTK getting 3:1, you're good 25 % + of the time.

I didn't play well today. Lost 300 which isn't good to start with but then I played poorly in a fair few spots and probably shouldn't have played my evening session.

Meh, played instead of working on my HUD, probably a bad decision. Ran like ****, didn't lose much but the tables were so ****ing soft today that on a couple of my reg tables I'd be surprised if I wasn't at least 15bb/100 long-term.

Hands:

1) Think this is a good spot to turn this part of my range into a bluff. Pre is because villain is ******edly aggressive pre and post and I expect to make a lot of money whenever I flop a pair.

Will decide tomorrow morning if I want to play/talk poker over the next few days. If so, I'll update then. Only lost $20 today but I was up a bunch and then lost that in a way which really tilts me. Either way, I'll be re-reading TMGOP.

In hand 6, your thinking is that because he has checked two streets he doesn't have any kind of a hand / is capped ? If so, that's pretty exploitable lmao

Villain is capped in the way that he can easily have trips, quads, fullhouse etc

Looking back at the goals from 2 days ago (as I took today off playing and just studied uni and poker, visited Grandma etc. If I play tomorrow it's going to be some microstakes to get used to my new HUD.

Goals for the last two days:

Quote:
1. 60 minutes uni work.
2. 30 minutes exercise bike.
3. Below net calorie goal for the day.
4. 2k hands.
5. Finish HUD.
6. One poker video + notes.
Videos have been Parker Muir's 'Calling 4bets OOP', a Lucas Greenwood (seriously **** his voice, so tilting to listen to) guide to HUD construction and like 20 minutes of Jason Koon's review of Phil Galfond in SCOOP just for fun. Only have notes on the Muir because Greenwood's was pretty poor (to be honest I expected it to be more than just him talking about the stats he personally used) and I don't take notes on HH reviews/live play. If anyone's interested for uni I've been looking over judicial review of policies claiming to amount to a fettering of discretion, and Fuller's The Morality of Law.

It's been a frustrating week in poker. Played a lot, played well at the start, let myself drift towards the end and now I've got to read TMGOP again when I can find my kindle charger. Constantly hit the nut worst turn/river cards for my hand so I had to do a lot of folding, hence the red line:

Weight has been much better this week, I'm now 19st7lbs and hope to be under 19st within a couple of weeks, weighing less than I have in a little over a year. I've managed to increase the pace of my cycling so I'm now doing 9 miles (14.4km) on a program in 25 minutes then finishing off with some 'heavy duty' cycling on the top difficulty setting for about 5 minutes just for some quick calorie burn.

Goals for next week:

1. Cycle a total of at least 60 miles.
2. Completely revise two topics for collections.
3. 12k hands.
4. Lose 4 lbs.
5. Record two theory videos for Grinder School.
6. Look into buying flopzilla, if so, play around with cold calling ranges against various positions on various board textures.

Goals for tomorrow (no poker goals because I'm waiting for a small thing to be resolved before I play again):

1. Find kindle charger (lol).
2. 9 miles exercise bike.
3. Below net calorie goal for the day.
4. Read three chapters of TMGoP.
5. 60 minutes uni work.

Unfortunately, living in a rural area combined with suffering from hayfever means that for most of the summer going outside should only be when absolutely necessary.

Hayfever is a nuisance but you must have a severe form if it prevents you from going out?

UL if that's the case.

It doesn't prevent me from going out per se but if I am cycling past fields etc for half an hour or so my eyes will probably be red-raw by the time I get in.

Goals from yesterday:

Quote:
1. Find kindle charger (lol).
2. 9 miles exercise bike.
3. Below net calorie goal for the day.
4. Read three chapters of TMGoP.
5. 60 minutes uni work.
It was a good day. Only played some 2NL Rush at Full Tilt to test out my new HUD (I discovered I find HUDs practically unusable without colour, not sure what that says about how my brain works), won $2 over 1k hands. SOLID.

Goals for today:

1. Below net calorie goal for the day.
2. 9 miles exercise bike (this is kinda cheating because I've already done this this morning).
3. Prepare presentation about constructing 3betting ranges.
4. 60 minutes uni work.
5. Read two chapters of TMGOP.
