Mentally insanely tough day. I had to stop and start multiple times to push through. Standard swings in terms of buy ins, just really not used to both putting in this kind of volume and dealing with higher variance due to playing b and c game.

I think when variance is tough, its good to remind ourselves how lucky we are as poker pros to be able to live the dream and do what we love. Especially in current times when online games are so good. Thats what i told myself to keep going today anyway ^_^


I'm above pace with 51k hands done in 5 days. So tomorrow will just be a study day while i let my mind recover a little.

Today was mentally tough, but i'm happy. Managed to play way better, the study day helped along with taking a table or two out. I continued to run abit bad but meh i don't mind, actually really happy to be playing that much better. I wanted to keep playing but its 10pm and i'm just way too tired. Pretty keen to see what I can do tomorrow My goal will only be about 10k hands but with lower table count for my winrate.

I included EV just because it makes it seem not as bad :P

I don't know how you manage to play well with this much volume. I end up mashing buttons after a few k let alone 10k...

haha im not playing well at all. I think after ~3-4k hands ive reached my limit and slip into b&c game. That why im trying to do this - so i can improve enough to play well despite big volume. Brain is a muscle so just need to work it out till failure so it can grow stronger:P

Pretty happy with today. Volume is a little lower as i dropped table count so i could play a bit better. Its still enough to complete my challenge, ill try go for 10k+ tomorrow.

Still hard to push through to get the volume in but i did it. Got in a little over 10k hands. Ran a little better also Looking forward to grinding more esp cus im getting a little more used to putting in this much volume. Will aim for another 10k or so tomorrow.

I'm not sure to call today a success or not, good or bad?
First hour i kept playing + running well...but after that its like the fatigue just hit me. I did NOT want to play. I forced myself and played meh and ran bad...then i just couldn't play anymore, wasted loads of time. I did coach some students for total ~3 hours today but still i wasted lots of time.

It was so tough to put the volume in today. I just told myself (after hours of procrastinating) to get in 8k. I literally just finished grinding now until 12am, but the new day kicked over so i fell about 200 hands short of my 8k goal.

All that being said i feel its sort of a "win" for the fact i still forced myself to play. I feel this is what gives me the improvement - just like going until muscle failure at the gym, i feel like i went until failure mentally so it just made my grinding brain stronger.

Tomorrow I will aim for 10k hands of good quality play.

Realized i forgot to post a hand as promised. This hand happened at the tail end of the biggest downswing i faced this month...Villain is an aussie who timebanked down to 2 seconds left on the river then called. Surprisingly it didnt really tilt me that much, but thought it was pretty funny.






1000 hands done today so far :P it feels relaxing on my brain to be able to play fewer tables and actually have time to think about my decisions..
