i used to play dons/9mans on merge (since 9mans loaded so damn slow)
recently i switched networks and had to adjust my BRM and calling ranges accordingly and first month in the 3's had 4% roi over 1.4k games and I would say 5% roi is sustainable for these even w/ 3 min blinds with a little juicy run good
shooting for 3k games+ this month lets see who hits the 3k mark first glgl

I use ninja too of coz, I can't live without using it.

The AHK script creats 4 slot on my screen and enable me to cycle through my stack at times when I need to follow any action more closely on particular table.
So that makes stacking much more convient and effective.

Re: STT grinder : On my way to becoming a professional poker player

So yesterday night, I experienced my biggest losing session this year.
What frustrated me most is not the money I lost but the way I played.

I feel like my game was so poor the past few days, I didn't really stay focused as close as I should when playing.

I try not to think about achieving the volume goal at the moment now and instead will try my best to focus on playing my best game for the rest of the month.

Gonna take a break for a few days now, and hopefully I will come back grinding with a fresh mind few days later.

Re: STT grinder : On my way to becoming a professional poker player

Half month has been past, but I am not doing any good both result and volume wise.
So last week's downswing upset me quite a bit and forced me to take a few days break.

I finally came back grinding few days ago.
The following graph shows the results since the short break.

Although the results are not particular good and the volume is kind of suck. I feel like I am gradually getting back on track.
I know there's still tons of area I need to work hard to improve, but overall I am satisfied the way I play most of the time for the psat few days.

However there's one thing concerns me quite a bit, as I have found that the K.O stt has been so reg infested lately.
Few days ago, I just saw 6-7 regs I marked sitting in same game and I ofcoz instantly unreg when I noticed that.
I wonder how those regs bother sitting the games, are they really satisfied with rakeback only?

Therefore, I have changed my schedule for grinding.
For the most part previously this year, I often just grind a 6-8hrs session continuously the day I play.
But now as I have to pay more attention to table select, I have decided to play several shorter sessions in a day instead.

Another reason makes me to decide that is because of my poor quality of sleeping.
Since I have moved to Guangzhou, I hardly have a day that I can sleep well.
Often times I just wake up unintentionally after just few hours of sleeping, so I am not really mentally strong enough for long hours session grinding like I was before.
Would really appreciate if anyone can suggest ways that can help for good quality of sleeping.

As for studying, I had my first coaching session with Glitlr few days ago.
He is just so awesome, the way he talks and the way he thinks about the game really opens my eyes.
I feel that it benefits my games hell of a lot for just one lesson with him.
Highly recommend him as a coach if you are looking to improve your game.

Enough rambling so I will just stop here.
Hope I can sleep well and run good and same to you for those who are reading this.

Re: STT grinder : On my way to becoming a professional poker player

Well

You have to mix games for volume. Moreover it is better to play 2*3 hours sessions and table select

You results are very good.As you can you make near 1$ per game and you should be more than happy

If you find the answer for sleep i beg you to tell me.Only alcohol helps but i try to cut it because i am in a ''healthy'' mode now

gl with the remainder of the month man
this has been a tough month for me =/
table selecting is important but for people like me in the US on merge we play regs all day every day haha it really does suck.

Re: STT grinder : On my way to becoming a professional poker player

Well, long time no update.

Actually I was thinking of giving up this thread, somehow I lost the incentive to update but anyway I will just continue updating.
I wish I could make this thread more interesting tough not just talking about poker, but also other stuff.
However due to my poor English and I am the kind of person that isn't good at expressing myself, I won't be able to do it at the moment.

I went back to HK to vist some of my friends for a few days.
When I returned to Guangzhou, the modem was broken and it took 3 days for the guys to fix the internet connection,
I lost the motivation to grind the remaining few days so I didn't play any poker for the last 10 days last month.

As you can see from my embarrassing graph for last month below, I completely failed to achieve my goal, only managed to play barely above 1000 games.

I finally managed to put in a short session yesterday night, it was the first time since nearly 2weeks ago,
although it is a losing one, I am quite happy that I get back grinding again.

I won't post any goals for this month, as I somehow feel that I will fail to achieve it once again if I do it and also don't want to press myself too hard.

But that said, I have a rough number in my mind and will def try my best to run good and play hard.

Will keep updating for every few days, may Poker God be with you and me.

Re: STT grinder : On my way to becoming a professional poker player

I wish i could tell i am happy that i see someone run bad in 9 mans except me but i will not

You are one of the very few people i really respect their game. You are very good player but you have to put more volume. I am really not happy seen that you run bad too while i can name by heart at least 10 regs that they are bad and run good the last two months

Please update more. Post weekly goals and find another subject to add in your thread. I honestly wish you best of luck

Re: STT grinder : On my way to becoming a professional poker player

Hey, long time no see! Somehow I dun feel like keep updating this thread and had decided to just let it died away, but as someone has bumped the thread,so here the update goes..

I didn't played much the last two months and before the start of this month, I finally realized I can't let my laziness continue so I have set two goals for myself.
That is to achieve SuperNova by the end of the year and 10k profits for the remaining 3 months this year.

Before this month, I still got 48.6K vpps yet to earn for achieving SN.
so my schedule is to play 6-7hrs each day 20 days per month for the remaining 3 months.
This may sound very easy for many grinders out here but it is not that for a guy that is so damn lazy like me.
It's just pretty tough for me to keep grinding and grinding, at some point I was pretty frustrated and really want to give up....

But I know I can't.. at least not this this time.. I am willing to fight till the end.

So far this month I'm a little bit behind my original schedule and here's my graph this month.

On a side note, I managed to get to the 1st place of sharkscope leaderboard of 9man turbo yesterday, hopefully I can hold on and be able to keep the nice looking little shiny star for the rest of the year.
