I often play MTTs on the side of my sngs yes. OFten it will be 4ish MTTs and 5ish STTs. When im going for real volume and VPPs the MTTs drop off - like now. Even now I will try and play MTTs most sundays as I'm in dont leave my comp mode.
Game selecting mtts is not my strongest point (I play sunday 6max over sunday milli) I like the rebuys and stuff (and deep stacks). I try and not play turbos. Essentially though, I do not game select MTTs, just try and keep to a certain ABI ($15-20).

It's 2.10pm and I am yet to start but I want to do my buggest ever day of volume.
I want to play 150 6max (turbo and reg speed) today. I won't sleep till I have completed this. After going to the gym I feel insanely fresh and I expect to have a big winning day to boot. (Will post results later.)

I guess its the weekends, but in all honestly I have never ever, adjusted my schedule to accommodate these "soft days/times" playing 30-60 I don't think that I play high enough to have to select that seriously. There are always enough soft games for me.
Playing 100s+ though, I would be selecting like a biatch.
I think that all days of the week produce great games. Certain times of the day can be "reg fests" other times can be just the best games imaginable. But I have not noticed a pattern as yet. I just play
