Hey guys,

I was thinking about creating this thread for a quite long time, so as you can see, I decided to do it..

Main reason is structure my thoughts in written form which I hope/expect should help to my mindset = game. I also expect getting better my English as I will google all the words I dont know , I also enjoy writting,
so let's begin

I am sne for last two years, I played 6max hypers to the highest stakes.
If I should be tottaly honest with you guys, I've never been great in them. I was pretty average. Thats pure fact. I played too much ABC, I also made mistakes in ICM, bleh. I also fought with different approaches to them = once I played 4 tables of 1ks and next week I played 25 tables of 60/100s, insanely stupid. I made a pg&ch thread there last year about making some insane number of VPPs by playing lot of tables, I obv totally overestimated my qualities and I failed, wait, I didnt failed - I learned. Anyway I done my SNE and I thought about my next steps. Sngs with lower RB ? I dont think so. Spins ? naaah. So what about mtts? I dont know, mtts are roullete and mtters are stupid, I'd need changed my daily schedule - as I need play mtts in the night there. "but whatever, I try them" I decided - Journey has begun.

Oh, I forgot about one huge thing, I am staked by one great guy with awesome approach and coached by another one, who is one of the brightest minds in poker I think. Yeah, I dont know many guys, but this guy just must be one of the best, according his results - even tho he isnt good grinder, (shame on you) - but mainly according his thoughts. He isnt so famous in poker world, but he could be if he wanted He shows me to way out from being just rb grinder and actualy think about spots, man, its different world, so much fun. Another guy who is helping me a lot is stevesmobs64 who has also thread there, but he is pretty lazy with updating lately (shame on you too) he knows everything about mtts structures and things arround, which is really helpful, as I dont want to make mistake like I did in sngs and try to play just +ev games for me. (yeah for sure, I played some -ev games but u know.. ) he is also great player/ guy obv.

I think my mtts journey started pretty well, suprisingly. I was amazed my mtts, they were so fun, playing deep runs, different stacksizes, different structures, uuuuh. Even results wise it started well, after few feeks I binked b55 for 30k. Nice lucky start. So I continued in playing them, also had some smaller hits arround 4-5k.

In February sngs were soooo good I tried played them a bit more and studied mainly them, but it wasnt so fun and it seemed my love to mtts is stronger than softness of sng lineups, so I came back to mtts and started to study them even more. I feel really obssesed by mtts, I dont think poker was so much fun for me as is right now. I also feel pretty balanced, even maybe for some1 it isnt balance at all, this is my schedule:
I usually wake up arround 3pm, "breakfast" etc, and then walk with dog, then study (coaching,hh review, w/e) for about 1.5 hour, then I usualy spend some time with my gf or I go play football (2x week + match on the weekend), but now I have injured ankle for more than month, so I am usually just with my gf or study if she isnt at home. arround 7pm I am on PC again, Iam starting warm up before session. Arround 8pm I start playing, - there I made recently a bit change b/c now I am starting when I feel realy and calm, dont care if I miss an +ev mtts when I am not ready - I dont play, this costs me a lot of money until last week when I realized, b/c when I am not ready and I start to play, I will bust my early mtts anyway and I am tilted about my decision to play when I am not 100%. Iam going sleep usually between 7am-8am. This is my schedule for Monday - Thursday. Friday I usualy spend just few hours with study and evening I spend with gf, Saturday I used to went to drink but no way when day after is the most significant day of the week. I actually havent played Sunday where I was 100% satisfied with my game, idk why, maybe my mind is a bit confused/broken after football game, lunch with my parents (yeah almost every Sunday), so I told my gf I trade free Sunday for any other evening in the week, so it will be better I expect. Once in a while I plan to dont play whole week and just study, this I did last week, I studied over 30 hours that week, it was fun

This post is starting to be a bit long so I will cut it down, next posts should contain some graphs and some more detailed stuff I expect, Idk exactly right now.

B/c its goals thread, I should make some goal: Let say the goal is maintaing my love to the game.
Just keep improving my game, ev bb/100 etc and I am sure results will come.

I think this all what I wanted to say in my first post, let's see what one can achieve with enthusiasm and with right work ethic.

this thread doesnt start very well in terms of results, there is 10.30pm and I already have last 4 tables of my Sunday mtt session, I dont want to reg anything else as I feel very sick today, probably I picked up (idk if is right term, but translator told me it) something from my gf who is sick lately as well. I didnt want to play at all today, but then i decided to play few mtts as these sunday mtts are obv super +ev ... but after few minutes and after some missplayed spots I realized it would be stupid to continue regging.
I dont know how should I rate my decisions today: was smart idea to start playing when feel bad all day and it was super clear I am not able to play A game? but there is 2nd point of view: shoulndt I play relatively normal (smaller ABI) Sunday session (and keep regging) as is it probably still +ev to play these Sundays mtts? I think pads said something like he havent skipped any Sunday, even when he was sick, but he probably still has much better "sick" game than I have A game (so far)
I felt very bad for all day, woke up too early - this is my std problem on weekends when my gf is athome, probably need talk with her abotu this topic, but you know - women..

this week went relatively well I think, made some fts but nothing huge, learned about some new concepts (obv need a lot of work to precize them), overal this week I spent again more time with study than playin I'd say

this week was first week in this year where i Had more than 2 free days, I had 0,5 free thursday and full friday/saturday


This week I ate well, slept better than weeks before so from this perspective it was very good week, only problem was/is Sunday again, as almost every week, i cant just prepare to play 100 % A game, so from day where I should play absolutely best becomes day where I play the worst, rly stupid when we compare invested money on Sunday and std weekday. E
very weekday I prepare myself to play best on Sunday and what happens? - I play for like 30-35% of my potential which really degrades my work during the week -

I think this is the biggest goal for next week - play A game on Sunday

next goals should be something like

keep eating/sleeping well,
start playing football and if ankle would still hurt go for some deeper physical examination as isnt normal to have sprain more than 5 weeks I think, - would be nice to start playing again as my team is currently 1st in our "league" and next week we play against 2nd team where plays my best friend, so it would be really ncie to crush them,

Still grinding away at the hypers, mostly 30-100 this year. Also considering adding some mtt into the schedule.

today again rly bad session and really short session again I must say

I feel sick all day again, tried to get back into playing mode by studyiing during the day, but my gf is also still sick aswell so it isnt perfect environment for some deeper thinking as I also slept way less hours than I should,
anway I started session but again quickly realized these all factors influenced my decision making more than is acceptable for guy with my goals

poor decision making = mistakes = less confidence = tilt

so probably tomorow I spend all day long with study to gain back lost confidence, maybe even I will study in the bed (idk if bed allows to get into procces of deeper thinking tho) as I rly dont feel very well lately,

tbh today I punted one (ATLEAST) stack at end of the session, which is really unacceptable, tottally unprofesional, stupid...

so from tomorrow I will listen my body more and I will play only when feeling 100% (or 90% ) ready, that thing what I did yesterday and today wasnt poker what I love, really huge mental leak i must say.

the key is imo just be honest to yourself, if you are feel bad how u can expect you will beat other proffesionals ?
this I should tell to myself last two days

anyway, another lesson learned so its not a huge problem, dont get me wrong tho - I dont excuse it, but try to learned from it (what a cliche I know)


obviously not any good results today, but today I deserved bad run to realize another leak

What happened from my last update? There is one negative thing - there is new law about blocking gambling sites in Czech (which doesnt pay taxes in Czech), for sure its negative, but I dont know how much negative it really is. Its not valid yet, but probably it will goes through.

Lately I still try to study a lot. But my "replayer game" is still SO better than my actual live play.
Main reason is obv playing too many tables (too many for me, for others its joke for sure), I am some1 who likes to think more deeply about every decision so when I miss some valuebet on the river b/c I have action on other tables I get upset a lot

Today I played like 6 tables at start and played really well, I think it was almost my 100% A game (coaching session in afternoon and jogging before session helped to quality of my game hugely I think),
After some time I was undisciplined and maybe too much confident about my game that I added some other tables and also few hypers sngs. Obv at that momentmy game went to the hell very fast. It was really idiotic.

I again saw how fast can A game change in to C game and how hard is C game change back in to A game (for me atm).

Thee worst thing is probably that this C game thing isnt actualy only waste of the time when I play but also waste of all these long hours of the work off the tables.


So no more session where I will combine sngs + mtts.

I know tha t even midstakes hypers ( I play max 100s as I dont study them anymore) has probably much higher hourly than some mtts which I have in my schedule but I have to keep in my mind I dont play these midstakes mtts b/c of the highest possible hourly but I use them as a tool to get better.

So paying the attetion even on tables where I am not in the action is pretty crucial as well imo

I was thinking about my study/play ratio until SCOOP. It will be my first big series as mtt pro so I should try to be really in the best form.

I was thinking about playing just 2day per week, but my coach just told to me it would be too much study. So I will play 3 days per week and 2.5 - 3 days I will study.

Which days to study and which to play I will let on my mood, obv Sunday play and then I will decide each day. Maybe Id like to study a bit more before Sunda even tho I expect Friday/Saturday (one of them will be free) will be v soft.

Sorry guys that this thread is still borring and without results, but they will come for sure after I will switch from study mode (and spewing when playing) into grinding A game mode

I have a bit new schedule where i play more non ps games. Abi is something about 70

hey guys
sunday session went quite well

I started a bit later as we played football (we lost so we are 2nd atm )

did some nice warmup. I played 6-8 tables(6 for most of the time) and crushed it Id say, mainly on start of the session, as I played longer and longer my game started falling down -pretty common I think, but not unavoidable. I will try work on it, like try to spend breaks better etc, eat even better, maybe drink more watter. Today I ran up to the stairs every break,


played a bit lower schedule again but made some nice stacks and deepruns like 14th in hot 44, FT of BB 82, 25th in big55 and 2nd in 55FO for 3k

overal something like 4k up today


next week I will continue in recent style = study a lot, play well and keep getting better and better in all aspects of the game

goal is also not to being so addicted on ev bb/100 as is really stupid to look at it more than once per week id say, more likely every its better every 14 days or something like that, maybe even more
in the past I even looked at it every 5 min or w/e, pretty stupid, but I think I am not only one who does(did) it as I read threads there

Nice thread push4glory. U are like me - if i play sng or cash omaha i am tilting very fast and hard and when i play mtts or mttsng - dont, coz i know that i cant make ftwin all of it every day and am just soo calm and happy to play

Get more heltier and happier now compared to before when u played sng and good results will come. And ofc dont play every day its not cash or sng to start and finish whenever u want, u know. If u cant focus or feel bad its good idea to play only 2-3 or small amount of tournys if its sunday and to watch some tv series or similar in the background (i watch twitch.tv some warcraft 3 games), or just let it go and dot play - rest this day and the next one make some big session (when i feel bad or sick etc. i do that).

mecantplay: yeah I enjoy mtts a lot more than sngs so far.
As I said I plan to play 3 days in week and rest of days I will study. I enjoy poker so much nowadays so even when I dont feel very well and I choose to rest I rather watch EPT or some replay or poker video than TV series or movie, I almost dont watch TV, I even grinded instead of watching champions league and tbh I also dont like idea with watching anything in the background, maaaaaaybe listening some music but def not watching anything and even podcasts are bad idea , but everyone is different


today is full study day, going to review my deepruns and marked hands and probably will watch some replay,

today was grind day, I had session with coach so also learned something

started playing a bit later again as I had football and missed some high EV mtts like b109 etc, so next week I will need to end football a bit earlier I assume

grind was quite meh, started well but then after one break (2nd or 3rd break, I dont remember atm) I tottaly missplayed some hands and busted some nice stacks, played a bit bad after that but luckily I back to my atleast 80% quality, so not the greatest but not the worst as well

in terms of results I played just 24 games and had some semideepuns and one FT in my absolutely lowest buyin (and lowest PP) obv, it was probably only time which I played that mtt, it was sooo borring and I ended 5th,

just really need to work on maintaing A game for whole session and mainly for FTs where I feel I play super bad in compared with how I should be able to paly - pretty bad when money are made on FTs

NExt time I will prepare some better food before the session, maybe try to find some music which I would listened on the breaks ? I also like idea to be active on breaks, so as I did on Sunday - run up to the stairs, pushups etc. There are probably so many tricks (any one of them are really welcome) how to maintain quality game. Its pretty key to figure it out b/c playing really well in early stages is fine (and fun) but thats is really not so important.

Tomorrow will be study day, today I made many mistakes and marked many hands so it will be long day...
Also I'd like to work on my schedule again as I feel Idont like playing these 4k gtd mtts on other sites, it is probably leak tho, as we should think about not the stake of mtt but about ev of each mtt, but still not sure about ev of these games. Will make some "research" to find out it.

It has passed through House of Commons, now (idk when) to will go to Senate and then to President.

Why are you so curious about czech legislation btw ?





I woke up before a while and I am so motivated to play today, so I will make coffee, breakfast and then study for 1.5 hour, then some free time with gf and in the evening Iwil start full grind session
