FACK! Another deep run and no day 2! Just finished 237th in the SCOOP-16-L, $11 PSKO.

Nothing stupid this time at least. Played really solid. Sadly, I lost KQs < AQs v. a short stack and then I jammed BTN v. CO w/ AJo and was called by AKo and didn't hit. So pretty standard spots mostly there.

I do have one hand I'm curious for thoughts tho...

BvB Spot
Should I have bet turn here, was it too trappy with this hand even though we are BvB and he has shown zero aggression on the board? And given I did check, was this a bad fold on river?

Anyway, I'm exhausted again... probably will be up for the $7.50, 50K (Re-Entry) at 10 AM with a small session around it. I think I have 50 leaderboard points now, so it might make sense to make a push for that a bit now.

Anyway... gl to Asj who was still in when I busted.

Usually bet turn on the larger side. River seems thin against a potbet, might be tempted to shrug-call it off now against some vilains. Fold fine I guess as default.

Thanks. I think this is a leak I really need to plug, I check in spots like this too much...

Played a small session yesterday around the SCOOP-L event at 10:00 AM. Nothing exciting, few small cashes. I have 40 points on the L leaderboard, so maybe with a few more deep runs I can end up getting something out of it, I do have a Phase II stack already, so that's probably another cash. Something to keep an eye on at least.

Played at Rama last night, got one outed AA < QQ with a Q dead and then KJdd in v. A6dd on Q high two diamond board, turned the sexy J, river 5d, sigh... so basically just binge drank at the table and folded hands with my friends until 4 AM and took the $400 loss. Shrug. Exhausted today, so just going to fire up 6 tables at 11 AM with the SCOOP and then up to 6 more with the 5 PM SCOOP and then let them run out, probably get in 10-12 timbeys total. Get some proper sleep tonight and be ready for another Sunday mega-grind.

GL to all!

Busted SCOOP 22 and all my side events, made a small profit on the day and played extremely well imo. Had two 100k stacks in a $3.30, 2K and the $7.50 PSKO, 12K deep... jammed 22bb over a BTN raise w/ KQs and was called by 44... flopped a FD, bricked out. Then 3bet AA over a raise and a call PF, flop came KQxcc... I had Ac... I bet out, got jammed on by a fairly aggressive player and I pretty much snapped him off, he had QQ. Sigh.

Finally jammed A4s with 14bb over a big stack open on BTN, he had AK in SCOOP 22. Sigh again. Could've used the min-cash for the leaderboard. Oh well.

Skipping the second event tonight. Saving it up for tomorrow. Vamos!

Currently 3/4 in the $5.50 Deep and have a solid 1.135M stack in the SCOOP-L 29 for 35/513... hopefully this is our first Day 2 of the Series!

Bust the Deep Stack... 3rd. A8s < A10o... probably a fold pre in this spot for various reasons, but sadly I did not, so $500 for 3rd will have to do.

not to derail thread but how do you tag the booms like that? any ink to show how or easy to explain?

It's easy. Just copy the BOOM URL. Then type the title you want. Highlight it and then hit the link button above. Paste BOOM URL into the field that pops up and hit OK. It'll show up like mine.

OK, I'm up and over my bust out last night. Ready for a new day. We have Event 31 today, the $27, 4max, 50K... an event I made a deep run in last year. I am going to likely late register it as there is not much to play around it at 10 AM and given the higher hands per hour and deep stacks/slow structure, it won't be a big loss to register somewhere between 11 AM and Noon.

As for yesterday, it actually was the best day I've had profit wise in a while. It started out awesome, making a very deep run in the Hot $4.40 that was derailed by my 88 losing to 33 AIPF, which set me off on about 4-5 hours of the worst run bad I've had in a long time including dusting off 100k stack in the $7.50 Vanilla in like 10 hands with 2-3 outers, KK into AA BTN v BB and finally losing a flip with 77 to go from 2nd to out in 52nd. Harsh times. I almost quit the session, but I had sold action to the $27 SCOOPs, so I just tried to keep my head on and grind through it. Finally I got some heat in the SCOOP and the $5.50 Deep Stack simultaneously and I was able to convert the two of them into about $650 in cashes including the FT for 3rd. So all-in-all not a terrible day as disappointing as it was to not make Day 2 with such a good stack with about an hour to go.

Congrats to One_Time on his run, I enjoyed railing that while 2-tabling my events. Was hoping he'd FT, but good grinding anyway!

Out Of SCOOP 31-L

I only have 1 event each day this week, so I am going to just play small sessions around each event to stay fresh for the weekend, which I have 2 events, plus all the other weekend extras so I will basically be crushing two big 15 hour days followed by the Monday Day II in Event 51-L.

So unless something exciting happens in my last 3 events here, GL grinders and I'll see ya tomorrow!

Flicked in the Stud Hi/Lo (33-L) tonight and ran up a nice start... it's a game I'm decent at, not great, but solid enough that with a little luck I could make a run... sadly, luck is not for me most of the time these days:

Yesterday was kind of boring, but probably good after such a long Sunday sesh. But I have decided to not do any more of those micro sessions around SCOOP events, I'm just going to take advantage of the added players online this week and do my usual sessions, every single day until the Series is over, then I'll take a week or two off and start back in June on a regular 4-5 day per week grind.

So let's go! Vamos!

Played a session yesterday, made a bunch of runs and had stacks everywhere only to bust a whole bunch of stuff inside the top 100 or 200 of the large field timbeys. Don't feel like I played great, I started out playing well, but then eventually I got up to 13/14 tables and felt like I slipped into button-clicking auto pilot and never really recovered from that mode even as my tables decreased. I'm still constantly running into huge hands, especially AA in weird spots, but I'm not really losing any money, in fact I'm up a couple hundred since beginning of SCOOP. So I'm trying not to sweat it, but it would be nice to make some more FTs and not constantly get 2 and 3 outed after putting in 3, 4, 5 or more hours into events. Oh well, such as life.

Here's my graph since SCOOP began and my evBB/100 chart as well, just cause...

I'm dropping all the micro, massive field events and swapping in a bunch more of the $16.50s. I'm hoping having a more mid-size field heavy schedule, even with a slightly higher ABI will increase my winrate.

GL today, kids!

Haha, sadly I'm just too much of a nit on the BTN, which is why my CO is so much higher... I play CO like I should play BTN, I'm trying to correct it.

this is mine for this year so far

def some room for improvement in all positions I would say. Perhaps you could take a closer look at late position to begin with. I've run pretty bad I believe in EP this year due to card distribution/coolers etc, overall it's around 10'ish in EP I believe. This should actually increase gradually for each position. and then sb anything below 17-18 is ok, and bb ideally below 35-40 too.

Cool. Thanks man!

I definitely think my starting ranges are too flat (similar) from EP to LP as a general rule... which is leading to a slightly inflated EP number, but also (and far worse) leading to me being too nitty in LP and not winning nearly as many pots as I should be.

I am taking tomorrow off, gonna definitely do some study on this before the weekend grind...

Small session today. Not really feeling it, especially after watching AA on side by side tables get cracked by QQ and AK at the same time. Just decided to single table the SCOOP-L until I busted... I 4bet jammed over a min-raise, call, I call, re-raise from guy running 67/50 over like 50 hands or something and I just said not today son with AQ... and he snapped me off with AK like a boss. Shrug.

Tomorrow off. Then big days Saturday & Sunday. And then Day 2 on Monday.

Peace out.
