re: Sanjay_45 Grinding MTT's ftw in 2013.

What's your experience, regarding volume in the 2.5/180?

I'm playing them right now, until I can move up, and I want to be playing them when it's possible to get in a decent volume. So I'm trying to schedule my sessions to when I can be 30 tabling, so my hourly will be at its highest.

So far, it seems to me that its best to play between 7pm-01am CET weekdays, and that there's less action Fridays and Saturdays.

You should always fold with only 9 fingers imo!

I think the primetime on 180s is what u said. I usually try to play 5pm-01am CET.

Yesterday was like back to basics for me. Totally crushed 2s and didn't get anything done on 8s. Still nice profit so can't complain.

Made almost 800$ profit on 2s so I think I locked up my nr1 spot for few days now. Also got into 5-fig profits on 2-5$ stakes this year. Pretty sweet WOOP!
Normal grind today and tomorrow its MTTs (ONETIME) Off-days are for the weak!

re: Sanjay_45 Grinding MTT's ftw in 2013.

Managed to configure PlaceMint, thanks for the offers though guys.

I was wondering how you adjust to regs BvB when they shove on you? Are you calling wider than nash because they can be jamming 100% often?

Or do you think regs will know that you're a reg and not jam as wide, making nash a better option? I often get in spots where I think I should fold by thinking "I've got 2k hands on him, he must know I'm a reg", eventually call with K3s or w/e and he shows 46o.

Basically my question is, do you give most regs credit for being able to adjust their shoving ranges vs you, or do you think most of them always shove wide?

After reading about it here, I checked out placemint, but I can't really figure it out.

What exactly does it do? Is it possible if I'm playing stacked in the lower left corner, to have it automatically move out the 6 or 7 tourneys I'm deepest in?

Depends very much on the reg obv. I don't really have any written rule how loose or tight I'm calling any specific regs but I try to figure out each regs tendencies and act correctly by that. I guess I give most regs credit that they fold bottom 10-20% bvsb esp deeper in the tourney.

With placemint it is possible to position tables by blind levels and tournament type at least. Don't know if it has more options but those are what I know. As I said before I use it to position tables to 4 stacks depending on blind levels of each tourney.

It all depends on what set up you want really personally I have 4 stacks which go by blind level like this.
Stack 1 - T20- T200
Stack 2 - T250 - T600
Stack 3 - T800 - T2k
Stack 4 - T3k - Finish

Then i have the same setup but on opposite screen for 3rs unfortunately i have to hotkey each 3r into the appropriate slot each time as i dont know the code yet.

+1 to this.

So played std 180man session saturday. About breakeven. Was bit out of focus and started to feel bit tired of grinding massive amounts for 13 days straight but think I handled it quite well.

Yesterday I decided to play MTT's and luckboxed pretty nice results also:

Finally busted with KK < A3o but in that point the whole tournament was just massive lottery avg being around 17bb's or something. Had bunch of other cashes and ended up making a nice profit day since I was playing with my own money. Spent around 250$ on buy-ins. Can't complain. Think I played overall good but I definitely have some huge leaks on my MTT game and looking forward playing more of these.

Guess its time for my weekly 180man graph also:

Still running good and enjoying the ride so far. I have been running so good lately that I expect a massive downswing coming soon but I think I'm ready for it and just have to grind it out.

So despite the nice MTT score I'm still going to make a new deal with stable which starts today. Deal contains 2s, 3rs and 8s of 180s and MTT's up to 5r and 22$ FO. Nice to get some extra selection what to play and for now I think I'm going to play 4 days of 180s and 3 days of MTT's each week and see how it goes. Guess thats all for now. Gl everyone and grind on!

re: Sanjay_45 Grinding MTT's ftw in 2013.

So another 2 days of poker behind. Played 180s on Monday and got some profit done around 150$. Binked one 3r and got bunch of other ft's. Sucked on 2s and 8s. Really feeling good about playing 3rs. Players are mostly horrible and these seems way more profitable than 8s.

Yesterday I played my first MTT session staked. Think I played around 25 MTT's and almost exactly breakeven. Came 13th at Hot 11$ after loosing QJ < T8o and Q9s < T4s in the end. Would've been 6k ftw but can't win em all. Made bunch of other ITM's also and started to feel really comfortable playing reg speed tourneys again. I still have lot to lean in this field and that's what makes em way more interesting than 180s since those are going pretty much autopiloting nowadays. On 180s I kinda reached a level where I know I play profitably and cba to start questioning my shoving ranges or basic strategies. This is actually pretty f#cked up since I really should work on my game and try to get better all the time but now my focus is mainly learning to crush MTT's. Really have to focus on 180s game on the future when I get this MTT thing going.

Today is 180s grind again. Don't really know much volume I can make now with 22 tabling and playing 3rs but gonna play std 8h regging session and see how it turns out. Back at MTT's tomorrow.

re: Sanjay_45 Grinding MTT's ftw in 2013.

Woop woop. Not really much to update from last 3 days. Was 7th at Hot 11$ for 700$ and finished some 6max 4k gt tourney 3th yday. Crushing! June is over and I think it would be time to do some recap how the month went and set up some goals for the July. Lacking on updates lately but gonna fix that in future.

June Summary

180s:

2s:

8s:

3rs:

--------------------------------------------------

Scheduled:

--------------------------------------------------

Month Graph:

--------------------------------------------------

Running g0dlike. Hope I can keep this up and continue crushing. Only played one 180man session this week and feeling kinda ****ty not to find the motivation needed to grind those. So what I'm going to do to prevent this from happening is to make it std schedule what I'm going to grind every week and stick by it. Going to take this up to somewhat more professional level and start focusing on my hourly rates and see what works best for me.

So the plan for next month is:

MON - 180s,
TUE - MTT
WED - 180s
THU - MTT
FRI - 180s
SAT - Off Day
SUN - MTT

Going to do this for full month and see how it works. I will update my results every night here and report my hourly rate for day so at the end of the month I can see whats best for me. I also have to do some goals since I have almost accomplished all my earlier goals besides the supernova but I think that will be in future.

Goals for the month:

[ ] 200hr of poker
[ ] 1hr of studying MTT's per day (gonna buy sub to some video site, dont know which one yet)
[ ] 5k profit
[ ] Be Happy, Don't Worry
[ ] Update this after every session
[ ] Start grinding with own BR on August

I'll think I go with this and see how it turns out. Today is sunday donkaments time. Not playing majors but all the smaller tourneys has nice fields and lots of donks in em. One time incoming.
