Daily check-in here. I feel like the routine of this blog has motivated me in a positive way to grind everyday Today I had to do some rl stuff first, like getting a haircut etc. So this evening after dinner, I wanted to start grinding, but there were some server issues. So I lit up a blunt and decided to just chill and watch some series. Yet, around 11pm or so Unibet was online again so I decided to just play a little. Even tho being still being kinda baked. So I played for about 45mins and it went fine Ran pretty good and won a little, which is even more fun when you're not sober

Getting coolered by a fish. Maybe folding river is an option, but I basicly call this all day long...

Was thinking about folding pre for real... But then again it's Kings!

Played AA pretty scared here. I think it is wp'ed, as I believe KQ or AQ is also gonna valuetown itself here as my hand is hugely underrepped. Really weird for villain to turn his 88 into a bluff really.

Tomorrow I hope to put in alot more hours at the tables

Maybe Usbekiztan is trying to get me to fold a Tx or Qx on the river? Or is he making a sick vbet against AK, lol. I really don't know what these guys are thinking at times.

Think you have to call this. He's bet 15 into a pot of 20 and frequently has a Q or worse pair, while QT got counterfeited.

Think you're right jalfrezi. Also, looking back at it, I really played that AA like JJ. So does make some kind of sense for him to bluff river w 88.

Anyway, today I woke up feeling very tired and didn't really do anything before 2pm. I guess all the pot I'm smoking is making me a bit lazy. Also, it is almost 30°C in my appartment. Played 25nl for about 1.5h this afternoon and won like 2 buy ins. After dinner I played another 1.5h, but 10NL. I also reached 150K challenge points today, which gave me €25 rakeback.
After that I went running, which went really good

Played a €10 donkament tonight, just to have fun, but I just got busted after like 3h. Bankroll still steadily growing!

TY Corlusion!

Today, I had only time to play after dinner. I think I played cashgame for about 2 hours. There were alot of regs around and I was running pretty mediocre again. I did win something like €15 tho. In the meantime I registered for €10 tourney and atm I'm still in it. Am already in the money, €22.95 guaranteed!

Damnit. Just busted the tourney in 8th after I lost all in w AA on J67r vs 57
Won €38... Anyway, looking back at the past few weeks I can be really happy with my overal results.

Tomorrow I'm leaving for holiday. I'm gonna go to France for a week with 2 buddies. Looking forward to it

Hey guys. I got back on Friday evening from my holiday in the Limousin area in France. Couple of pics

Today I got back to the tables and it didn't really work out. Was running cold most of the time and made some slight mistakes perhaps.
I played for about 5hours and lost 4 buy ins. Losing sessions always bother me, but I think I'm gonna call it a day anyway.

Despite adding a little weight on vacation, I'm almost at the peak of my condition again
This week I've done some running in very hot weather (25°C+) and was able to average 11km/h for about 6 to 7 km's.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get back to winning ways

Another day where I put in alot of volume but continued to run really bad. It's really starting to annoy me. Really feel urged to cashout a big part of my bankroll, but I think I should realise that things will turn around.

The next hand pretty much sums up my day. So tired of these ***** idiots hitting all the time:

In another tilting hand I have 99 and villain donks all in on 8KK for €14 in something like a €2 pot. I snap him off and he hits his flushdraw with J9...
Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Busted.

So the last few weeks I have been running insanely bad on every level I played. Also in very tilting ways. This has resulted in me cashing out most of my roll - €856 -and being left with around a €100 which I just busted after some more bs.

Gonna take a breather, but perhaps in a few days I'm open to any staking deals...

g'night folks

Wow. That bankroll de-escalated quickly.

Taking time off is often the only way to cope with variance-induced tilt imo. Just forget about poker for a few days and see how you feel. I normally have a sick upswing when I come back with renewed focus after some time off.

Hey Arty. Yeah, it did get a bit out of hand too quickly. Still I'm happy having won about €850 this summer. Anyway, I shoudn't have overreacted like I did to that downswing... So after my last cashout I took a short break from poker. Started a stakingdeal with Powernap again 2 weeks ago. Going good so far. Up €300 since start. Shouldn't take me too long before I have my own roll again.

This Sunday I'll be running my first half marathon. Wish me luck guys

I've done similar before, and it's a really big EV mistake if you plan to keep on playing.

I used to have a plan where I stopped playing for a few days if I lose 10 buyins in a day. I lost 10x (NL400) buyins, stopped for a week, and when I got back the exchange rate meant I'd lost another $1k.

So I tilt withdrew almost everything and started over at NL100, then took a few months getting back to NL400. That was a TON of lost expectation for me.

So unless you actually need the money/can make constructive use of it/are going to tilt it away if you play, I think it's best to keep going. And obviously I have some kind of small vested interest here, so let me qualify that by saying that you don't have to play at Unibet of course!

You are totally right Andrew. I didn't really needed the money and am not that big of a tilter. In the meantime I'm just crawling my way back up

Maybe I see you in Antwerpes!

Hey guys. Time for an update. Ran my first half marathon on October 4th in Brussels. There were some very tough, steep parts but in general I did ok. Finished in 2h7min which is decent for a first time My finish photo is pretty funny.

After cashing out my bankroll, I started a new staking deal midway through September. Managed to win about €550 and as a result I have my own bankroll again

Had a very solid day I played 2 sessions, totalling 3hours. Managed to book a very nice win, despite losing twice with KK vs AA pfai. Let's hope I can sustain this run for a while.

Visited friends this evening and only played for about 1.5 hours.
Not very special session. Made a bit of a spewy play with 56s. I called vs sb 3bet. Flop came QJx with 2 hearts. I bluffraised his cbet. After he called Kh hit the turn and I shoved repping QQ/JJ/QJ/flush and he snapped with KT... Oh well Tomorrow evening I'm hoping to play a bit more.

Evening folks. Played for about 2 hours and as usual on Friday there were plenty of fishes around. Managed to win a little over 5 buy ins
Sometimes I like to flat AK in position and this time it worked out nicely. Turn was a bit of a decision. But once I call turn, I also call any river.

Played for about 4h today and yet again steamrolled the competition at 10NL
Some random hands:

At Unibet you can change your identity (screenname) like 3 or 4 times every day. Yet some people choose to use the same nickname alot. Like this TUFSEN guy. When I was browsing through my hand history, I saw a hand where he cold 4betted AI for 150bb's with 77. Strong play from his side tho. He has to have a 5 there

Had a bit of a tougher session. Biggest losing hand:

His line just didn't make that much sense to me. Most players will raise flop with monsters, and KQ or KJ isn't going this hard either. Timebanked forever and called. Wonder what any of you guys think about it. Still made a mini profit btw. Cheers

If I'm reading it right he's put you on on a wide range from the blinds, then picks up flush outs on the turn and when you check it tries to take it down because AK/KQ are probably firing again.

There isn't a lot of raising post flop at 10nl or 25 nl here, and it makes it easy to get away from monsters when you do get raised because their play is generally so unbalanced.

You now know that as 3bettor pre you can CR him OTT with a range of hands.

Hey Jalfrezi. About the QQ hand; the thing is just that ppl on Unibet love to float A BUNCH. But then again, not that many are firing the third barrel without having it ofc.

Played for about 2h earlier today. Am slightly cooling off compared to last week, but still managing to book decent wins. Today's lolhand

I'm doubting which one of these villains is the biggest donk? I lol'ed pretty hard with this dude's nickname "NL10Beast"

Hey guys. Played 2h earlier this evening and am still crushing pretty hard at 10NL It's been a while since I made a big herocall, but sometimes all you have to do is click call and fistpump I timebanked and called the very last second.

Had a very brutal session. Started off around 7pm and was already starting off to lose some std coinflips like AK vs QQ pre. Just kept running bad and got some ugly beats. Hovered around -€60 for a long time. Every time I'd climb up, some other bs would happen. Except one time where I misread my hand (getting tired) and x/shoved a stack, I kept playing decent. Was down about 10 BI's before I finally got some goodrun my way. Ended the session down only about €11. But boy, it was a looong session.

After that, I played a bit banzai. I just needed to see about 30 more flops, to clear the balance on one of my tickets. Took about 30mins and that gave me another €20 or so back. Hopefully tomorrow things will be back to normal
